Mathematics and applied mathematics (education direction) (four-year bachelor of science degree).
Training objective: to train students who meet the needs of Tibet's socialist modernization, develop morally, intellectually, physically and aesthetically in an all-round way, have a healthy body and sound psychological quality, form a good teacher quality through educational theory courses and teaching practice, and have the basic ability to engage in mathematics, teaching, educational research and practical application of mathematics. Middle school mathematics teachers, teaching researchers and other mathematics educators who master the basic theories, knowledge and methods of mathematics, can use mathematical knowledge and computer technology to solve practical problems, and can adapt to the coordinated development of knowledge, ability and quality required by quality education.
Main courses: analysis, algebra, geometry, probability theory, physics, numerical analysis, advanced geometry, complex variable function, ordinary differential equation, pedagogy, psychology, mathematics teaching theory in middle school.
Employment direction: employment in teaching and research and education management departments of schools above middle school and other related units.
