Mathematics from primary school to high school belongs to elementary mathematics, and calculus, linear algebra, probability and mathematical statistics (these three are the contents of postgraduate entrance examination) are advanced mathematics. Of course, advanced mathematics includes more than these, and other contents are generally beyond the reach of non-mathematics majors.
