Method 1: Use the space bar.
The input of MathType space is not like typing the space bar directly in a word document, which requires other keys to input.
There are five widths of space, as follows:
1.0 unit width space: Ctrl+K+0, or Shift+ space.
2. 1 unit width space:
(1) Click Style in the menu->; Text, press the space bar, so that you can enter spaces in MathType.
Select the text in the style, and then press the space bar.
(2) Use shortcut key combination for input. Hold down Ctrl+Alt and press SPACEBAR several times to enter multiple spaces in succession. Or Ctrl+K plus 1.
3. Fine space: Ctrl+K+2
4. Rough space: Ctrl+K+3
5. Full width space: Ctrl+K+4
Method 2: Use labels
Tabs, like other text editing software, are used to vertically align multiple lines of text, just like tables, so they are called "tabs". You can directly use the shortcut key Ctrl+Tab to enter Tab. If the interval is not enough, you can click multiple times. Tabs can easily align multiple lines of formulas, so they are often used for alignment. For example:
Press Ctrl+Tab after 1 and 3 respectively.
Method 3: Use alignment marks.
Specify alignment position: When editing multi-line formulas, it is often necessary to set symbols such as equal sign or decimal point in each line as vertical alignment. It is easy to achieve this effect in MathType. Just press the shortcut key "Ctrl+". Before (or after) the symbol in the formula line. , insert the alignment mark, and press this shortcut key again before (or after) the symbol in another line, then the two lines will be vertically aligned based on the symbol. For example:
Press Ctrl+before the "+"in the first line and the second line respectively;
These two lines of formulas will be aligned with "+",as shown in the following figure:
The two lines of formulas will be aligned with the symbol "+".
Almost all problems in MathType space can be solved by the above method, and the operation is simple and easy to use.
