Max Planck (full name: MaxKarlErnstLudwigPlanck,1858-1June 4, 947) was born in Hollstein, Germany. He is a physicist and one of the important founders of quantum mechanics. He is an academician of the Prussian Academy of Arts and a foreign academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States.
Max Planck entered Munich University on 1874 to study mathematics, and later changed to study physics. 1877 to Berlin university; 65438-0878 completed the Munich teacher qualification examination; 1879 received a doctorate from the University of Berlin; 1June, 880, obtained the teaching qualification of a university; 1885 was hired as a professor of theoretical physics by Kiel University; 1892 to teach at Berlin university; 1894 was elected as an academician of Prussian Academy of Sciences.
1900 first proposed energy quantization, which marked the birth of quantum theory. 19 13 was appointed president of Wilhelm Friedrich University in Berlin; 19 18 won the nobel prize in physics; 1926 After his retirement, he served as honorary professor of Berlin University and was elected as a foreign academician of the National Academy of Sciences in the same year. 1930- 1937, President of the Royal Society of William, Germany.
1938 asteroid 1069 was named Plankeya; After Planck; 1947 10 died on 10, at the age of 89. Max Planck is mainly engaged in the research of thermodynamics and quantum mechanics.
Thermodynamics:
Max Planck's early research field was mainly thermodynamics. His doctoral thesis is On the Second Law of Thermodynamics. Since then, he has studied the change of matter aggregation state and the theory of gas and solution from the viewpoint of thermodynamics.
