My child is studying, thinking and studying. It should be said that its content conforms to the teaching progress of primary school mathematics textbooks, and there will be no problems beyond children's cognitive ability. And although the essence is quite the same, the topic of learning and thinking is very different from that of mathematics textbooks, so it will not cause children to lose interest in textbooks.
My child is good at math, so it is hard to say whether studying and thinking will help his school. But I think it is very helpful for him to supplement his mathematical knowledge and enrich his mathematical problem-solving methods.
In particular, every learning and thinking about mathematics is to solve a kind of problems (mostly applied problems), and some interesting names will be taken. My children remember the names of every course about learning and thinking, and the way to tell every kind of problem like a story has always protected their interest in mathematics.
But then again, if children themselves are not interested in inductive problem-solving methods, they may find learning and thinking boring. So whether it is useful or not varies from person to person.
