Dutch mathematician ludolph van ceulen (1540 65438+1October 28th-16165438+February 3rd1) was born in hildesheim, Germany, and then moved to the Netherlands to teach fencing and mathematics. 1580 became a math teacher at Ddlft in the Netherlands. 1594, he started a fencing school in Leiden. /kloc-was hired as the first professor of mathematics by Leiden University in 0/600. He died in Leiden.
