Shanghai University School of Science is a basic and research-oriented college focusing on modern basic scientific theory and related applied science and technology. The college consists of five departments: Mathematics Department, Physics Department, Statistics Department, Sustainable Energy Research Institute and Nanotechnology Research Center. Mathematics in Shanghai University is one of the oldest subjects in Shanghai University. The mathematics discipline of Shanghai University is the first-class discipline doctoral degree awarding point (approved in 2006), which includes four two disciplines: basic mathematics, computational mathematics, applied mathematics, operational research and cybernetics. Among them, the doctoral program of computational mathematics was authorized by the state 1984, the specialty of operational research and cybernetics was authorized by the state 199 1, and the post-doctoral mobile station of mathematics was built in 1998. This subject has a team of professional teachers with reasonable structure and high quality, including 32 professors and 33 associate professors.
