How to type a "root number" in a WORD document?
1. Open word and click "Insert" on the toolbar;

2. Click the small inverted triangle under "Formula" on the right and select "Insert New Formula";

3. Click the inverted triangle of "radical" on the right, and select the number format of radical that suits you;

4. Click the dotted box in the root symbol and enter a number.

5. The number length is not limited, and the line above the root sign will become longer with the length of the number side.
