Therefore, the Monkey King's unyielding mighty golden hoop has become synonymous with the Monkey King's courage, putting aside evil, rebellion and fighting spirit. It conforms to the people's revolutionary desire for progress, which is why the Monkey King has been loved by readers for thousands of years.
But at the same time, we should also see that there is still a negative side in the Monkey King's character. The hooping spell represents the Monkey King's "servility"-sorry, I can't find a better word to describe this heroic image for thousands of years. During the 500 years when the Monkey King was under the Five Elements Mountain, he gradually "repented" and lost his stance against the Heavenly Palace. Later, when Guanyin Bodhisattva used to get rid of Wuxing Mountain as "bait" and let the Monkey King put on a golden hoop to help Tang Priest "make a positive result", the fighter who once made a scene in heaven finally converted (surrendered? ) and became a member of Zhongjun Tiandao. On the way to the Western Heaven to learn Buddhist scriptures, the Monkey King was often cursed by Tang Priest at first. He had a lot of complaints about Tang Priest, but he was forced to work for Tang Priest. Later, however, the Tang Priest chanted less and less-the Monkey King gradually became "obedient". When the Tang Priest drove Wukong away halfway, Wukong was even "miserable and in tears" and looked like a slave. A hoop spell binds Wukong tightly in the shackles of heaven, fighting only the evil spirits who cross the border and not the wrong gods and buddhas.
