Messe 2024 will be registered from 2023 1 October1day to February1day, and will be held from 6: 00 am on February 2, 2024 to 9: 00 am on February 6, 2024, Beijing time.

The beauty contest is an international academic competition sponsored by the American Federation of Mathematics and Its Applications, and it is also one of the most influential mathematical modeling competitions in the world. The competition aims to cultivate new mathematical talents and promote the application of mathematics, covering a wide range of mathematics and application fields, including but not limited to calculus, operational research, graph theory algorithms and so on.

For domestic teams, the following conditions must be met: they must be college students or graduate students from Chinese mainland, and each team consists of three people, one of whom must be a non-mathematics major student in other disciplines. In addition, Southeast University has certain restrictions on the number of participating teams, and plans to select 70-80 teams to participate.

As for the registration fee, each team needs to pay a registration fee of 100 USD. For teams from poor areas or students with special circumstances, Southeast University will bear the registration fee for some teams.

The game content of American games:

1, Mathematical modeling: The US competition requires the contestants to have a solid mathematical foundation and good modeling skills. In the competition, participants need to use various mathematical methods and modeling skills to solve problems, such as calculus, probability statistics, optimization theory and so on.

2. Data analysis: The United States often involves a lot of data processing and analysis. Participants need to master the basic skills of data processing, such as data cleaning, data preprocessing, data visualization and so on. And can extract useful information from it.

3. Operational optimization: Operational optimization is an important part of American games, including linear programming, integer programming and dynamic programming. Participants need to be able to apply these theories to solve practical problems, such as logistics planning and resource allocation.

4. Computer programming: In American competitions, computer programming is often needed to solve some complicated problems. Participants need to master at least one programming language, such as Python, C++ and Java, and be able to use these languages to realize mathematical models and algorithms.

5. Innovative thinking: The United States pays attention to cultivating the innovative thinking and problem-solving ability of the contestants. In the competition, participants need to be able to think independently, dare to try new methods, and be able to use what they have learned flexibly to solve practical problems.
