How to calculate GRE math scores
Many students have had such questions about GRE scores when preparing for the exam:

How many questions did you get?

Actually, there is no fixed answer to this question.

Due to the adaptation process of GRE test, if the second section reaches different difficulty, the relationship between the correct number of questions and the final score will also change.

First, the language (oral) score.

1, also answered 20 questions orally.

If the first paragraph is 15 and the second paragraph is 5, then your oral English score is likely to be155;

If the first section is 10 and the second section is 10, then your oral English score is likely to be152;

If the first paragraph is 5 and the second paragraph is 15, then your oral English score is about 148.

2. The number of questions in each paragraph is the same, and the scores may be different.

For example, I see that the first quarter is 8 and the second quarter is 6.

There are three kinds of scores: 146, 147 and 148. It's amazing!

At present, ETS has not been published, but according to the standards of most students' grades:

1. Section 1 is 0-6, and Section 2 is easy to enter; ;

2. The first section 7- 12, the second section into; ;

3. The first paragraph 13-20, the third paragraph into the hard.

There are seven pairs in the first section. According to students' standards, there are two situations that may be easy or moderate, depending on the difficulty coefficient of the correct topic. The first paragraph is 13. According to students' standards, there are two situations, medium and hard.

Some students want to know how this is worked out.

What I want to tell you is that this algorithm is not officially published by ETS, but is roughly derived by studying hundreds of GRE scoring standards and combining the previous speculation on the scoring formula in the industry.

Method of obtaining results

1. Enter "Numbers+Numbers" in Andy's GRE dialog box to represent the correct number of questions in part 1 and part 2 respectively.

2. Your score will pop up automatically. For example, enter "10+ 15" and the system will pop up 10+ 15= 156.

Note: this score is not absolute, because it will fluctuate according to the difficulty, so you can use this data as a reference, and the fluctuation will not exceed 1 minute.

Second, the mathematics (quantitative) score

Because China students can basically enter the second quarter of mathematics, the overall performance of hard mathematics is better than that of China students, and the mathematics scores are roughly as follows:

Deduction = number of wrong questions-1

[Example: 4 wrong questions, about 3 points deducted]

Generally, there is a fault tolerance rate of 1 question. 1 question may still be 170.
