Synopsis of story:

A math professor at MIT wrote a topic that he found very difficult on the bulletin board of his department, hoping that his excellent students could answer it, but no one could. As a result, a young cleaner (Matt Damon) found this math problem while cleaning after class and solved it easily. After the math professor couldn't find the real solution, he set a more difficult topic to find out the math genius.

It turns out that this young man may be Einstein in the next century, and his name is Will Hunt. He was extremely clever but rebellious, even fighting everywhere, and was sentenced by the juvenile court and sent to the juvenile care center. Finally, after the math professor was released on bail and pleaded with the judge, he was saved from jail. Although the professor hopes that Will will regain his goal in life and try his best to open his heart, many psychologists invited by the professor to do psychological transduction for Will are humiliated by Will because of this young man's insight into psychology, and they all declare that Will is "hopeless".

The math professor has no choice but to ask his college classmate and friend (robin williams) for help, hoping that he can inspire this young man with uncertain future.
