Mathematical formula problems in grade six
1 Question:

(1) The sum of the length and width of the original rectangle: (208—8×8)÷8= 18(cm).

(2) The circumference of the original rectangle: 18×2=36 (cm)

Two questions:

Trapezoidal area = (upper bottom+lower bottom) × height ÷2

= (upper bottom× height+lower bottom× height) ÷2

=(36+56)÷2

=46 (square meters)

Three questions

(1) perimeter of a square (also perimeter of a rectangle): 6×4=24 (cm)

(2) The width of the rectangle: 24÷2—8=4 (cm).

Four questions

(1) Find the radius of the circle: 3. 14×r×r = 12.56.

r×r =4

r =2

(2) Rectangular circumference: (circumference+semicircle radius) ×2

(2× 3.14× 2 ÷ 2+2) × 2 =16.56 (cm)
