Main differences between junior high school students and senior high school students
First, double the amount of knowledge.
The initial knowledge span is very large. The total amount of knowledge learned in junior high school for three years is not even as good as that learned in senior high school for one year. For example, mathematics, high school mathematics science students need to study ten books, and each book has an important test center for the college entrance examination. The number of English words has increased from 1600 required by junior high school to 3500 words +500 phrases. So at the beginning of the new high school, many students will have the feeling of "hitting the wall", which is also commonly known as the steep slope effect.
Second, the college entrance examination covers a wide range.
Because of the large amount of knowledge in high school, senior one is completely different from senior one. The knowledge of the first grade is more about the transition from primary school to junior high school, such as rational numbers, line segments, angles, etc., and the senior high school entrance examination is not directly examined. High school is different. The knowledge of senior one is directly tested 40%~50% in the college entrance examination (such as about 65 points in mathematics).
Third, the teaching methods are different.
Junior high school teachers often use intuitive and vivid teaching methods to explain repeatedly, and teachers should spend more time giving specific guidance to students. After entering senior high school, teachers pay more attention to analysis, less repetitive explanations, more student activities, and many problems need students to think independently. And there are many subjects and teachers in high school. Each teacher's teaching method and teaching content are different, and the learning requirements for students are often inconsistent. Therefore, only by adapting to each teacher's teaching methods can we promote our own learning.
Fourth, learning methods are different.
Junior high school students' learning methods are relatively simple, and they are used to "listening, reciting and reading silently", doing homework and relying on teachers. Senior high school requires students to learn to study, read, think, analyze and solve problems independently. Learning methods should be flexible and diverse to prevent and overcome incorrect learning methods such as simple rote memorization, emphasizing memory over understanding, emphasizing problems over reading, and emphasizing calculation over concepts.
