Changshu Institute of Technology, located in Changshu City, Jiangsu Province, is a full-time undergraduate college in Jiangsu Province. It is the first batch of pilot universities for the new round of undergraduate teaching qualification assessment organized by the Ministry of Education, the "National Education System Reform" pilot universities, the "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Plan" pilot universities of the Ministry of Education, the pilot universities for information construction of the Ministry of Education, and the "National New Engineering Research and Practice Project" selected into universities and the first batch of provinces and cities in Jiangsu Province.
The school's predecessor was Suzhou Normal University, founded in 1958 and Changshu Vocational College in 1984. The two universities merged into Changshu College on 1989. 200 1 Jiangsu population school was merged. On May 2, 2004, approved by the Ministry of Education, Changshu Institute of Technology was established on the basis of Changshu College. 20 17 School became the provincial master's program construction unit in Jiangsu Province.
