Create a problem scenario. Let students draw the images of exponential function y=2x and y=( 1/2)x first, so as to arouse students' initiative, stimulate their inquiry psychology and introduce the topic smoothly. This exercise is only to prepare for learning the images with cardinality greater than 1 and cardinality greater than 0 but less than 1 in the exponential function.
