Since 2009, the Ministry of Education has successively issued the Syllabus of Public Basic Courses such as Mathematics in Secondary Vocational Schools, which has played an important guiding role in deepening teaching reform and improving students' comprehensive ability in secondary vocational schools. In recent years, the scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation have put forward new requirements for the scientific and cultural foundation and comprehensive literacy of technical and skilled personnel. The original teaching outline concept and knowledge system can't adapt to the new situation of vocational education reform and development and the learning situation of secondary vocational students, and some contents are outdated.
Public course refers to the course that candidates of any major or some similar majors must study in the self-study exam of higher education. Although the public course is not necessarily directly related to the major studied, it is an essential course to cultivate talents with all-round development in morality, intelligence and physique and provide methodology for further study. The basic course is a course that guides the basic theory, basic knowledge and basic skills of candidates in a certain major, and its role is to lay a solid foundation for candidates to master professional knowledge, learn science and technology and develop related abilities.
Public courses and professional courses:
As the name implies, a public course is a course that you have to take no matter whether you take a junior college or an undergraduate course, no matter what major you study. All public courses in junior college add up to about 20 courses, but not all of them have to be tested. College public courses include introduction to Mao Zedong Thought and Socialism with Chinese characteristics, ideological and moral cultivation and legal basis, college Chinese, English and so on.
Specialized courses account for the largest proportion of all self-taught courses, often reaching about 80%. This kind of course is characterized by specialization and systematization. Simply put, it is closely related to the major you choose, which is a difficult content in the industry. Each course has high credits and is difficult to learn. At the same time, some courses belong to degree courses, which have rigid requirements for grades (for example, the average score of each course should reach 65) and need to be treated with emphasis.
