Shandong Normal University, which originated from Shandong University Hall, 1903 was divided into Shandong Normal University, and then gradually expanded and merged into the present Shandong Normal University.

Qufu Normal University, located in Confucius' hometown, is famous all over the country. The school was founded in 1955, then called Shandong Normal University (the first opening ceremony was held in Shandong Normal University). The following year, it was renamed Qufu Teachers College and moved to Qufu. Then the current name is 1985, and a new campus was built in Rizhao in 2002.

Chongqing Normal University was founded in 1954 and renamed Chongqing Normal University in 1960. Later, it was renamed many times, and finally its current school name was established in 2003.
