The process of fractional reduction
Simplify the definition of related knowledge: according to the basic properties of a fraction, simplify the common factor of the numerator and denominator of a fraction, which is called the basic step of fractional simplification:

(1) If both the numerator and denominator are monomials, the greatest common divisor of the coefficient and the lowest power of the same letter are rounded off (that is, the common denominator of the numerator and denominator is found first);

(2) If both the numerator and denominator contain polynomials, first decompose the polynomials into factors, and then omit all common factors of the numerator and denominator. Note: (1) The scores before and after reduction should be equal.

(2) The key to simplification is to determine the common factor of the numerator and denominator of the fraction. (3) Reduce the integer of numerator and denominator, that is, divide the integer of numerator and denominator by the same factor.

(4) When the numerator or denominator is a polynomial, if it can be decomposed, it must be factorized first, and then the common factor of the numerator and denominator can be obtained for reduction. (5) In general, reduction should be thorough, so that numerator and denominator have no common factor.
