Institute of Electronics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (hereinafter referred to as Institute of Electronics) was established in September 1956, and is the first comprehensive institute of electronics and information science and technology in China. After more than 50 years' development, the Institute of Electronics has 900 employees, including 603 scientific and technical personnel, including China Academy of Sciences 1 person, 2 winners of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, 4 national candidates for 100 million talents in the new century, 8 candidates for the Hundred Talents Program of China Academy of Sciences, 72 senior professional and technical personnel and 0/62 deputy senior professional and technical personnel. The two pillars are microwave imaging technology and microwave electric vacuum technology, and the five major directions are geospatial information technology, electromagnetic detection technology, high-power gas laser technology, FPGA chip technology and MEMS sensor technology.
