Uncle (Tan)' s Basic Theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine
Dare to sleep in class, greedy and eager to learn.

In fact, I have always felt that teaching the basic theory of traditional Chinese medicine is very good for me. Whenever I feel puzzled or encounter a bottleneck when I am helping someone to see a doctor, I will probably go back to see some basic classics before I feel suddenly enlightened.

Sometimes, the most basic things are actually the most important. Every time I go to a place, I start to feel that something is wrong. When I encounter difficulties, I need to go back to the most basic place to see if I have done anything wrong. Therefore, this is also the experience I want to share with you in this class.

As for teaching, I have a personal principle, that is, whenever I teach, I must teach True Story.

What is the true story? There are many Chinese medicine practitioners out there who are good at saying "false biography".

He may tell you, "Keels and oysters can soothe the nerves because they contain a lot of calcium!" " Calcium can soothe the nerves! 」

However, after listening to his words, you will want to ask, "What do I do in eat small fish every day? It contains a lot of calcium. It seems that I am a "god" ... without any security measures? 」

So, there must be other reasons besides calcium, right?

Some people say that the food you eat is healthy because it contains "active ingredients", or something like "Ginseng contains so-and-so active ingredients, which will greatly replenish your vitality and stimulate your heart beating after eating ..." Then, you will find: "Alas? Why should I take a white radish for testing? Most of the ingredients are exactly the same. Is it effective to eat white radish? " Of course it's useless. Even if the ingredients are very similar, ginseng that grows two whiskers in three years and white radish that grows a calf in three months will not be the same or even the opposite. White radish is nicknamed "the natural enemy of ginseng, the nemesis of tonic."

So if you want to look at all kinds of things in Chinese medicine with western chemistry, you will actually be very depressed.

The past 30 years have been an era of popular science and technology. In the past, Chinese medicine was looked down upon by people who were used to western technology for too long, so when talking about Chinese medicine outside, I forced myself to say something that sounded "like technology" (in fact, it didn't make any sense at all)-communicate with patients and convince them: "Look! I am also very scientific! In fact, no one can understand these words, including himself.

When we really study Chinese medicine, we follow the very traditional concept of China people, a so-called "Qi" world outlook, which can be said to be "metaphysical".

Science, of course! If you have studied Treatise on Febrile Diseases and Synopsis of the Golden Chamber, if you have this symptom, if you prescribe this prescription, there will be some changes and how to get better ... If the conditions are the same, you can check the evidence repeatedly. In terms of proven science, it is very scientific (don't think that "Qi" is unscientific, and don't think that what the naked eye can see is science! Today, nuclear bullets have been made, and no one has seen electrons; UV skin care products sell well, and no one has seen ultraviolet rays.

However, what kind of theory is the theory of TCM?

To put it bluntly, that is witchcraft. Because of this, Christian students have to drop out of school because they can't use witchcraft.

However, this is witchcraft. As Ye's medical record will say, there is a pregnant woman who can't give birth to a child, and there is nothing wrong with the decoction he uses, but the pregnant woman's child just can't give birth. Later, he remembered that it was autumn. The pregnant woman's body doesn't know that it's autumn, and it's time. So he put a plane tree leaf in the same soup, and the child was born!

Just like giving the body a "message" or "energy", Chinese medicine is like this.

Usually when I prescribe medicine, I really take the "witchcraft" route. In other words, what I'm thinking about is how the energy and information of many things are transmitted-how to add and subtract two flavors to make them go to the ankle ... not chemical components, and I'm really not thinking about these things.

Does the human body have information? Actually, there is. Just like the human body has no meridians? When we practice qigong or catch a cold, we all take the meridians.

What are those meridians? Meridian is a phenomenon that "when you are alive, you can measure that the resistance between two points in your body is very small, which makes it easy for current to flow", that is, meridian.

But for this thing, people will say, "Oh, this is a material phenomenon, which means that there is some kind of magnetic interface in your cells, so …" Then someone really dissected this person and said, "Indeed, where people have meridians, the bone cells under them will become some kind of directional arrangement, so meridians are" concrete "existence. You can say that, right

However, if you kill a living person with one knife and then measure it again, all the meridians in your body will be gone. The meridians left with his soul. In this body, there is no real existence.

Therefore, we can say one more thing about the basic concept of Chinese medicine, that is, "People have souls!" 」

Above the soul, there is a pipeline for the soul to transmit energy. Then if you want to cure a person's illness, why do you have to treat it with chemicals? If there is a way to dredge the meridians above the soul, can it produce some curative effects?

The answer is "yes", and it is often more effective.

Therefore, Chinese medicine can treat colds, very serious colds, and take medicine for 20 minutes (the kind that is completely disease-free! )。

We will think, "Isn't a cold a virus? Aren't viruses mixed in human genes? Western medicine says that a cold is a terminal disease because it can't be removed. Things mixed with human genes will not stop working unless people die. Only the dead won't catch a cold.

But we can completely cure the cold in just 20 minutes, and then all the viruses are gone! What's going on here?

That's because the genetic arrangement of the virus itself is like recording on a tape. It has a tangible part, but it has an intangible part-you can "degauss" it! After degaussing, the virus completely disintegrated.

The experiment of this thing is very simple. Western medicine has done such an experiment: a piece of glass is separated from the timely film, with cells on one side and cancer cells on the other. In a few days, good cells will be destroyed by cancer cells through the glass and become cancer cells ── cancer cells will not spread, proliferate and devour, which will directly destroy good cells ── so that you will know that even DNA can change from space to space.

So sometimes western medicine will say, "You Chinese medicine practitioners are so stupid. How come I don't even know about genetic diseases? " ? And I will think, "Westerners are so stupid, how come they don't even know that genes can be changed?" That's it. People look down on each other.

There is a saying in "Zhuangzi" that "duplicity". This is an idea that we look at things from the perspective of the tangible world. On the other hand, you will see something different. And the two sides can't talk properly. Chinese medicine has an eye for the invisible world, so what it sees is strange and mysterious.

Can this problem be solved?

It's actually very easy to solve. I teach you Chinese medicine directly from the perspective of the soul, and everyone can understand it! I don't want to describe it as physical chemistry and anatomical physiology. If I speak in a scientific way, no one will understand.

Therefore, the reason why Chinese medicine is "mysterious" is that no one wants to talk about "true biography", because when it comes to true biography, some people say that you are crazy and you are a witch doctor. So it became like this, talking about Chinese medicine with a lot of western medical terms. Few theories are logical, and it is certainly impossible for people with normal minds to understand them.

So, when I tell the truth behind closed doors, you may hear some superstitious ideas, but can we say that they are not superstitious? Sure! That is: if it can be verified, shouldn't it be superstitious? We can verify it step by step from a scientific point of view.

In this course, we will first talk about the interaction between human body and nature, such a concept, then talk about the concept of yin and yang, and then talk about the concept of five elements.

When you say "Jin Mu's fire, water and soil", you may sound like "This should be extremely absurd?" Right? "Why does water produce wood? Why does wood make a fire? This is a superstition in feudal times! But if you can look at the fire, water and soil in Jin Mu from the energy structure, you will find: Really! When we add energy to a system, it will really have these five changes, not superstition. Then why is it "five elements"? Why not "four lines"? That has a very reliable basis in mathematics, and it must be "five elements". "These are all reasonable things, and it is a very solid truth.

Then I will lead everyone to learn to feel the pulse and see the clinic. Since we have learned so much about the theory of zang-fu organs, let's examine our bodies by pulse-taking, so that we won't forget it, and pulse-taking is easy to learn and not difficult at all. Do you know what you need most to feel your pulse? The pulse needs more people! When I tell you that your pulse is weak, you will ask, is this called weakness? Then let's line up all the people, from strong to weak, and you will know, "Oh, I am really weak, weaker than all of them." So Pulse needs more people, right? I said your pulse is floating. What do you mean by floating? Floating on the skin surface is called floating. "Aren't all the veins under the skin superficial?" ? "It doesn't matter, we are from the most floating to the least floating, then you will know what is floating, right? This is a relatively scientific subject. Therefore, it is easy to learn to feel the pulse, as long as there are many people.

When I teach every viscera, I will tell you the herbs corresponding to this viscera. Why talk about herbs? Because I want to talk to you about Materia Medica. What is the theory of materia medica? That is, for example, after the "root" of a tree is used, most of the medicinal properties will run to it; With the fruit of the tree, the medicinal properties will probably run down!

The action point of Chinese medicine is not chemistry, because chemistry is called chemical composition, and Chinese medicine is not. You use roots, because roots transport water to the top of trees, so medicinal properties often affect it; You used fruit because it really wanted to fall to the ground. After you eat it, the medicinal properties are likely to run down.

Therefore, Chinese medicine, Chinese medicine, should consider the taste of the medicine you eat, and what kind of state its soul (dead creatures can't be called "soul", but Chinese medicine calls it "qi") is in, just like we turn a blind eye to medicine, and after eating stool, it will definitely fall down, that is, Fructus Aurantii Immaturus. Have you ever heard of it? It is the fruit of bitter orange tree. (When I was a child, did you ever hear the idiom in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, saying that "oranges turn into bitter oranges when crossing the Huaihe River", which means that this plant is pitiful and has no moral integrity. Other plants think "this is not my environment, I don't want it, I won't grow up!" " This plant will land wherever it goes. Even if you grow deformed after landing, you will still grow! So this plant, it especially likes to fall to the ground. After eating, your breath or your stool will fall off, that's all. The individuality of plants will be confirmed in their efficacy. )

Almost all of our Chinese medicine practitioners look at the curative effect in this way. Therefore, the ecology of every animal, plant and even mineral will become a part of that medicinal property, and we should be familiar with this concept in the following days.

What is this concept? It's witchcraft! Right? It's not scientific at all, but if you want to use Chinese medicine, you must use this concept, so you can know whether the medicine will reach your fingertips or your head as soon as you meet. If you don't have this idea, you will only prescribe "chemical composition". For example, some medicine can stop diarrhea. Of the 6700 drugs in Materia Medica, there may be 300 drugs whose chemical components can stop diarrhea. Then take western medicine when you have a stomachache! Because you don't know what medicine to use.

In fact, each drug has different characteristics. So we must cut into materia medica from this angle and show you the concept of materia medica.

In addition, when it comes to each viscera, we will talk about what role this viscera plays in the human body. Speaking of this role, of course, I will reinterpret the topic about the five elements. In other words, you said that this zang-fu organ is earthy. Why is it earthy? There are many, many, all of which are related to the five elements principle.

When you found that this viscera was a little weak, so that it could not finish its work well, how did you reinforce it? There are many prescriptions in the handout. When you see that recipe, we will put what we have learned in materia medica back into this recipe, and you will feel, "Wow! It turns out that these small components of witchcraft can be woven into a string of such mantras! " -Like this. After this combination, what can it become and what results can it cause after the herbal power echoes each other? -let's talk about these prescriptions that are commonly used to regulate the five internal organs.

We just said that you can learn the pulse condition, the theory of materia medica and the basic structure of some prescriptions, so it will be easy for you to go out and see other people's prescriptions, right?

I will also teach you some basic and important recipes and then tell you how to use them. Chances are you'll never get diabetes or high blood pressure. Isn't that great? You can keep the quality of your life until you are very old. When we're over 30-I'm 36 this year-we'll feel like our health is getting worse every year, right? However, there are some remedies. Really, after eating all winter, you will feel, "huh? My health seems to be better this year than last year, right? Since even this "irreversible" reaction can be "reversible", is this tonic worth using?

I will teach you some very important maintenance drugs. Because, in the practice of Chinese medicine, don't wait until you have some kind of cancer, and then go to see how the doctor did it-at that time, we are not in the mood to see how he did it. We'd better take good care of ourselves and never have to see a doctor for life, right? In our village, it is said that "it is better to forget each other than to care about each other", right? When we all have disasters, I really need you. You need me very much. Everyone needs love and a doctor. However, we'd better take care of ourselves and never need to see a doctor.

Su Dongpo put it this way: "I am a first-class good patient, so I always look after third-rate doctors very well." Because, every time you get a little sick, go to the doctor quickly, before it gets bigger. Then I went to see a doctor. Before the doctor spoke, I described my illness in detail and expressed it very clearly, so it was almost impossible for the doctor to misdiagnose it. Whenever I go to see a doctor, even a third-rate doctor has the effect of a first-class doctor, so I am really good as a patient. 」

I think, really, if we can take better care of ourselves, we won't need first-class doctors in this life. Leave this kind of thing to those who need help. If you don't suffer, you will be fine, right? Prevention is more important than cure, isn't it?

Then what else will you teach? For example, I will teach some moxibustion points. You can take a piece of wormwood, put a piece of ginger and burn it ... Alas, moxibustion is fun, and moxibustion is a good thing to kill time. Do you have a chance to lie on the sofa and watch TV? Usually when your own child is lying on the sofa watching TV, you will say, "It's not good for your health to lie down and not digest like this." But since I learned moxibustion, I lie down every day, and then I will find an important acupoint, put a piece of ginger, and then watch the program for half an hour ... or watch it for two hours. Seven grains of wormwood can be moxibustion in half an hour, and 28 grains of wormwood can be moxibustion in two hours. That skill is really strong. You just need to remember to change a wormwood granule when ironing clothes. In Japan, few people can live to 105. Isn't that great? You can mix it casually to "longevity", so don't bother to maintain it.

Because I am the laziest person in the world, I think prevention is more important than cure, and then I am too lazy to exercise, so I am a greenhouse vegetable and take tonic every day. I think this is "fertilization". When sunshine, air and exercise are not enough, I will eat some fertilizer, and I feel less likely to get sick, which is quite good. Then there will be some Chinese medicine practitioners. When I am sick, as long as I have a little initial symptoms, I will cure it immediately to avoid getting worse. I feel quite comfortable every day. Then, can a lazy teacher like me teach any successful students? Of course, it is impossible to let this laziness continue to spread. It seems that most students also feel that "this seems pretty cool", so learn to be lazy.

This course will not only teach you the usage of the biggest tonic "Shenqi Pill", so that your body will not be seriously damaged every year, but also be a prescription for expelling liver toxins. You can expel all the toxins accumulated in your liver, so that your liver can be preserved for a long time. If you don't know this, when you get sick one day, the torture of those drugs adds up to amazing. I think we must prevent it if we can.

I hope you don't buy medicine from me. I can't believe I taught Shenqi Pill. You can go to the drugstore and make it yourself. I'll teach you how to do it. But everyone said, "Teacher, you have it yourself, so let's buy it from you." Then, my teaching assistant keeps packing medicine for my classmates every day, and I feel, "Although I think my teaching is a' business' behavior, I don't ask you to respect the teacher, but after buying this point, don't you think I have completely reduced to selling rice cookers on the shopping channel?" Classmate: "The teacher said this recipe was good, and everyone thought it was good. Teacher, then I will buy yours. " I have no objection to your buying from me. If you want to buy, I'm ready to buy at any time. Why should I sell it? The reason is very simple, because when my master taught me the prescription of scientific Chinese medicine, he said that this prescription should not be spread abroad, and there is another way to change that prescription into crude drug, so I will teach you the method of crude drug version. But many people still think that scientific Chinese medicine is more convenient, so they bought it from me. Because I can't spread the prescriptions handed down to me by my teachers in those years, and I can't teach you how to prepare scientific Chinese medicine, that's all. It is a business behavior that has to be done. Let me explain something to you.

As for class rules, such a terrible dogma can't be adapted to by most people.

First of all, if you feel a little sleepy in class, sleep if you want! I don't want to see that classmate's sad expression of persistence and then trying to open his eyes to me. Anyway, there are recordings in class, so there is nothing missing in class, right? If you fall asleep in class, someone will take you home. When you need a rest, let me have a good rest. Don't hold on to it, okay? A little uncomfortable, "asking for leave", "truancy" and "leaving early", please try your best, understand? Because, if you are comfortable in class, you can last. If you come to class with the spirit of sacrifice and dedication, you will soon lose interest in the teacher and feel that it is not worth sacrificing and dedication for him.

I often think: how to take the most efficient class? Have you ever thought about how to take the most efficient class? This matter is very important.

In fact, I feel in my bones: "Chinese medicine is very important. I am a person with a sense of cultural mission! " "But I won't tell students such a stupid thing. Because I have a sister. When I said to my sister, "Sister, this is very important. Don't forget what my brother told you! "! After earnestly exhorting her, I asked, "What did I just say? "What she said was fragmented and forgotten. Then, my sister went to see a movie, which was neither good nor ugly. When she came back, I asked her, "Sister, what is the movie about?" "She gave you from the first word back to the last word! How did this happen? It is very important to tell you that you must not forget that you have forgotten for me; Then I remembered all the unimportant things I just saw! The human brain is like this, isn't it? So, before this fact, how can I tell you to "study hard"? Think of it as watching the National Geographic Exploration Tourism Food Channel. Isn't this a better way to learn? What do we regard as "mainland curiosity"? We will remember how much Tibetan fruit costs per catty, but I tell you, "This recipe is very important, you can't forget it." You got it? So you must come to class with the attitude of muddling along, so that you can learn well, right? What people deliberately remember will be forgotten, which is human helplessness. So please use a very relaxed mood, like this.

My room is terrible. I am usually a person with bad living habits. Every time, I try my best to tidy my room before the students come. Sometimes students ask for leave from the whole class and attend classes only once every two weeks. Oh, my God, just like cleaning the garbage room, it is the state of cleaning the garbage room in a Japanese "Golden Legend" program. At this time, the teaching assistant reminded me over there: "JT, here! Pick it up! Here! ..... "It's horrible.

A classmate who went to work earlier told me, "Teacher, I told a friend about your Chinese medicine class, and he was very interested and enthusiastic to come." But I told him not to come. He said, "Because my friend, even the practice venue of Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, feels too dirty, and he can't stand the teacher's home. So just admit it, if you can't stand it, let me know, and I will wipe the floor a little bit in a face-saving manner. Because that's who I am. You leave me alone and you live in a garbage room. Do you sympathize with a person's fallen hobbies? As far as I am concerned, I attach great importance to what I cherish, and I will burn it completely. Other things, I'm really ... confused. How to make living habits better? I heard that it would be better to live in Germany for a month, because Germans have a very good home environment, they will feel uncomfortable when they come back, and then they will start packing. I don't have time to go to Germany now, please forgive me.

Everyone knows what I want in class, right?

In addition, why should I emphasize to you from the beginning that this course is a "business activity" in such a secular and secular way?

Because today's students are not very knowledgeable, they just "learned to answer". They hope that he can show that the teacher thinks he is very good and has answers and opinions in his heart, so that the teacher can rest assured him. But? He is not very good at asking questions to the teacher. In fact, it is very important to learn to "ask".

The ancestor of the philosopher who loves the wise is Socrates in the west. Socrates put forward a very important argument: "We must know that we don't know. When you feel this way, you will want to know more, and that soul will have a feeling of hunger and thirst. However, most of us are taught that the soul should feel full and I'd better know everything so that I can be impeccable.

This impeccable life is terrible in study. There are three levels of human intelligence: "I know I know" is the smallest; "I know I don't know" is more; And then "I don't know", this part is the most, right?

However, we have been taught from an early age that "you'd better be slow and steady", and many people have been taught from an early age that everything should have an answer and an opinion.

About this thing, there was once a teacher named Robert Fritz who taught tension creation. He did an experiment and showed it to his classmates in class: he and his teacher went to a workshop for seven classes from morning till night. He put a pot of water and seven cups on the table. Then after the first class, he drank another cup, then put down the pot, and the water in the cup was left and walked away. Then the second teacher came to the second class and drank another cup, then put it down and left.

Then when class was over that day, he asked his classmates, "What do you think of this cup? As a result, they found that these students were very thoughtful.

Actually, the teacher didn't tell you "what are we doing", did he? However, his classmates told him that "the teacher is telling us to study with an open mind like an empty cup, not with an open mind like a full cup …" and so on. The most amazing thing is that he found that there was no glass of water after a class because some students drank it. Then, I had another class. There is a flower in the cup ... Do you know what it is based on?

His experiment tells us how much people hate facing "I don't know". He asked, "Why do you want to drink water? The student's answer turned out to be: "if I drink water, it means that water is used for drinking, and I have the answer." "Then," then why insert a flower? " "Because after I plug in a flower, it is a cup for arranging flowers, and then I have the answer. In other words, people are so sad about their "ignorance" and work so hard!

It turns out that we have been educated to be impeccable since childhood, and we have become addicted to drugs. When we are a little unknown, we are so sad that we have to come up with an answer as soon as possible. If you really don't have one, you can make up one, even if it's completely unrealistic, you can feel a little more at ease. Most people live like this, so they form a "concept" of right and wrong.

However, I think learning is just learning to ask questions. You must have an immediate answer to everything. You are stupid.

I have a secret ... because I have always been a weak person, I deliberately put myself in a state of "not knowing" about everything, that is to say, I like the question "I have no answer" very much. As a result, do you know what will happen?

When you keep a state you don't know, your body will produce an attraction almost like a black hole, absorbing that answer in every moment and bit of your life.

For example, when I was teaching Zhuangzi ... Zhuangzi was a hard thing to understand. There are classes on Saturday and lessons are prepared on Monday. For those who don't understand at the moment, I won't rush to define the sentence "this is the essence", write an answer, and then feel that I can teach it like this to reassure myself ... I don't. I wrote "I don't understand this sentence" on the lesson preparation list; There is a contradiction between this sentence and this sentence, and I can't figure it out. My lesson preparation list is full of my ignorance and incompetence, and then, it is wonderful. I will see these answers in my life from Monday to Friday! Do you know that?/You know what? Do you know that?/You know what? That is, when you can live in peace with your ignorance, your study will become so smooth!

However, I can't ask students to be as lazy and incompetent as I am, because everyone has their own habits. Can't habits be changed in 2 1 day? For twenty-one days, we were in the class. When I can't call you into my ignorance at once, I can only use another trick, which is to make you greedy. How did that man become greedy? That's when I told you, "Supermarket, snap up in a limited time, full 100 yuan ..." Wow! Everyone will be greedy, and the sense of fullness in their hearts will be immediately forgotten, and there will be a lot of emptiness.

So, I want to tell you that this course is a "business activity". You paid for it, just like a full buffet. You should have that kind of "naughty" heart when paying for meals, understand? "I must eat this back!" Do you understand this? When my students are very eager to learn, their hearts become very empty and eager to learn, which is to my liking. That's why I want to be a gangster.

What matters is not that you can make me a great teacher by asking me questions, but that when you like asking questions very much, your heart is very open and empty, which is a very important mood. In study, if you can keep peace with your emptiness at any time and don't panic, you can do everything as easily as blowing off dust. So every time I want to learn something, I will make a list: "I can't do this, I can't do that, I can't do that", which fills me with a sense of emptiness, and then I learn everything in a short time, and I am very happy.
