The national college entrance examination paper is divided into one, two and three volumes, and no backup is made. Among them, Hebei Province adopts the National I Paper, organized by the Examination Center of the Ministry of Education, which is applicable to most provinces and regions in China, with the aim of ensuring the fairness of talent selection. The national volume is divided into national volume A, national volume B and national volume C;

The national college entrance examination is a national paper, that is, the national unified proposition paper is used. Starting from 20 13, the national volume of the new curriculum standard is divided into volume I and volume II.

China's college entrance examination changed from a "national paper" to a "provincial proposition", which began in 2000. After 2000, China's college entrance examination reform accelerated. National Volume II usable area:

National Volume II: Chongqing, Shaanxi, Gansu, Ningxia, Qinghai, Xinjiang, Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Inner Mongolia and Hainan (Chinese, Mathematics and English);

National Volume Ⅲ:

Yunnan, Guizhou, Sichuan, Tibet and Guangxi.
