1, Shen Kuo

Shen Kuo, a native of Qiantang, Zhejiang, was a politician in the Northern Song Dynasty and an outstanding scientist in ancient China. Shen Kuo devoted himself to scientific research all his life, and was proficient in hydraulic physics, mathematics and medicine. Meng Qian Bi Tan, the representative work, is regarded as "a milestone in the history of science in China".

2. Zu Chongzhi

Zu Chongzhi is from Wen Yuan and Nanjing, Jiangsu. He was an outstanding mathematician and astronomer in the Southern and Northern Dynasties. Zu Chongzhi studied natural science all his life, mainly contributing to mathematics, astronomical calendar and mechanical manufacturing. He is an extremely important mathematician and scientist in China.

3. Song Ying Xing

Song Ying Xing, Chang Geng, a newcomer in Jiangxi, was a famous scientist and agronomist in Ming Dynasty. Song Yingxing devoted his life to the scientific investigation and research of agriculture and handicraft production, and his work Tiangong Wu Kai has nothing to do with the progress of fame, and is known as "17th century China's craft encyclopedia".

4. Jia Sixie

Jia Sixie, a native of Yidu, Qingzhou, was an outstanding agronomist in the Northern Wei Dynasty. From the 2nd year of Yongxi in the Northern Wei Dynasty to the 2nd year of Wuding in the Eastern Wei Dynasty, Jia Sixie wrote Qi Yao Min Shu, the earliest and most complete comprehensive agricultural book in China. This book systematically summarizes the knowledge of agricultural science and technology in the Yellow River valley of China since the Qin and Han Dynasties, and provides a basis for later agricultural works.

5. Luban

Living from the end of the Spring and Autumn Period to the beginning of the Warring States Period, the ancestors were generations of artisans; Hand tools used by carpenters, such as drills, planers, shovels, rulers and Mo Dou, are said to have been invented by Lu Ban. Now the name Luban has actually become a symbol of the wisdom of the ancient working people.
