The biggest gain is the knowledge and understanding of the field of social network analysis. This is a very interdisciplinary field. As far as I know, there should be no other summer schools offering this course, which is also a relatively advanced course in universities. Considering that we are all high school students, the professor started with basic linear algebra, taught various models of computer graph theory, statistics and social science analysis (such as sis and SIR), and finally talked about various applications of social network analysis.

Different from the traditional courses in other summer schools (such as computer, chemistry and psychology), the experience of this course makes me understand that we don't have to apply for a single major, and we can show our thinking about interdisciplinary research in the application, and the complex network is a good example of interdisciplinary (sociology+computer+mathematics). Finally, I also spent a lot of time on the application documents, taking the experience of summer school as an example to tell my enthusiasm for interdisciplinary learning.

The first suggestion is to listen to the class carefully and take notes frequently: when I applied, I also looked through my summer school notes to find documentary materials, so it is very useful to sort out and file my notes.

I should also take part in more organized activities: I should meet more friends from different backgrounds. After knowing them for a while, I found myself the most delicious orz in this classroom.
