English and mathematics are not comparable. Now let me tell you the difference between English one and English two. Generally speaking, speaking English is more difficult than speaking English.

First, the difference between English 1 and English 2 test sites

1, different syntax requirements:

English 1: Candidates are required to skillfully use basic grammar knowledge, and there is no specific requirement for grammar knowledge.

English 2: It lists eight grammar knowledge points that candidates need to master, and defines the examination direction and preparation scope.

2, vocabulary memory part requirements are different:

(1) requirements are different. The English syllabus requires that "candidates can master about 5,500 words and related phrases". The second English syllabus requires that "candidates should be proficient in about 5,500 commonly used words and related commonly used phrases".

(2) Different meanings. English 2: Candidates should be able to understand the meanings of some uncommon words according to the specific context, sentence structure or context.

(3) The scope of vocabulary survey is different. "The amount of new words does not exceed 3% of the total vocabulary of the materials read" has been deleted from the English II syllabus.

3. Different reading topics, genres, vocabulary and option settings:

(1) The theme and genre of English II are obviously limited. Candidates should be able to read written materials on different topics and genres, including economics, management, society, culture and popular science. Genre includes expository, argumentative and narrative.

(2) The ability investigation reduced the relevant requirements. In English 2, the clauses of "understanding the conceptual meaning of the text" and "distinguishing arguments from arguments" have been deleted.

(3) In addition, "make relevant judgments, inferences and extensions" (English 2 does not need to be extended)

4. The categories of new problems are very different.

5. Some translation questions are different from the grading standards. English 1: the ability to translate five sentences from one paragraph and accurately understand English written materials with complex concepts or structures. English 2: the ability to translate several short paragraphs, understand the given English language materials and translate them into Chinese.

6. Different writing scores and types. The multiple-choice questions, word requirements and scores of English I and English II are the same. The score of the first composition in English is 20, while the score of the second composition in English is 15. Mainly investigate three types: outline composition, icon composition and picture composition.

Second, both of them are suitable for their own majors.
