Brief Introduction of Wuhan Optoelectronic National Laboratory
Wuhan Optoelectronic National Laboratory is one of the first five national laboratories approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology in June+10, 2003. WNLO was jointly established by the Ministry of Education, Hubei Province and Wuhan City, with Huazhong University of Science and Technology as the supporting unit. In addition, there are three units: Wuhan Institute of Posts and Telecommunications, Wuhan Institute of Physics and Mathematics of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and No.717 Institute of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, aiming at promoting the original innovation of national scientific research by building a large-scale scientific research platform with interdisciplinary integration. From June 5, 2006 to 10, Wuhan Optoelectronic National Laboratory successfully passed the feasibility demonstration of the national laboratory construction plan organized by experts from the Ministry of Science and Technology. The laboratory is located atNo. Luo Yu Road 1037, Hongshan District, Wuhan City, Hubei Province, at the foot of Jiashan East, adjacent to Moshan East Lake. It was completed from February 2003 to February 2005 and put into use in autumn 2005.
