1936, Cai Yue Middle School merged with the private Junde Girls' Middle School founded by 192 1 and was renamed Shaoxing Yue Guang Junior High School. The school site was chosen in Chunbo Lane, Lu Xun Road, adjacent to Luyou Shenyuan, Lu Xun's former residence, and a school board was established.
194 1 year Shaoxing fell, and it was learned that the school building was occupied by the Japanese puppet government. The school closed and the students were forced to drop out of school. 1After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War in August, 945, Luo Siwei, chairman of the school board, and Wang Qixin, president of the school board, tried their best to ask for help, raise funds, build school buildings, enrich equipment, innovate school affairs, and set up more high schools, making the restored Yueguang Middle School one of the three complete middle schools in Shaoxing at that time.
From the founding of the school to 1949, after the May Fourth Movement, the Northern Expedition, the land of evil deeds and War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, despite repeated twists and turns and hardships, all previous teachers and students followed the school motto of "sincerity, love and diligence" and worked hard, and a group of people with patriotic enthusiasm and dedication emerged, among whom Zhang and others were representatives of our school. For the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and the liberation of the people, they advance wave after wave, never waver, struggle hard and never sacrifice, which shows the great ambition and perseverance of Shaoxing young students. They wrote an epic and immortal chapter with their own lives. They are worthy of being the light of Yuezhou, and will remain in the history of their alma mater forever, inspiring our teachers and students forever.
1949 In May, Shaoxing was liberated, and the newly established Shaoxing People's Government changed Yueguang Middle School into a church-oriented school for the society, and gave subsidies for running schools. 1953 high school was closed, and it was changed to Shaoxing County No.3 junior high school, which was designated as a county-level key junior high school. In order to strengthen the Party's leadership over education, 1957 established the school party department with Shaoxing Second Junior Middle School Federation at that time, and 1958 established the school party branch separately. It has withstood the test of the difficult period of the country until 1966, and the school has developed greatly, with the scale reaching 18 classes. Strict teaching style, diligent study style and high-quality education level have been recognized by the society and also affirmed by the leaders of the Ministry of Education at that time.
Bad cultural practices once put the school in trouble, but all the teachers endured humiliation, persisted in education in the turmoil and gradually restored teaching order in the struggle. 1975 It developed into a complete middle school and was renamed Shaoxing No.5 Middle School.
198 1 developed into a complete middle school and changed its name to Shaoxing No.5 Middle School. In 2000, it was designated as one of the prestigious schools with a long history by the Municipal Education Bureau. In August 2002, it merged with Shaoxing Middle School (1996) and was named Middle School. It is a modern junior middle school named after Chen, a famous mathematician in Shaoxing.
