English Sentence Structure (Mathematical Operation Form)
From the perspective of English sentence structure, in addition to modifying the attributive of nouns and adverbials of verbs, it can be summarized into five basic sentence patterns in ever-changing sentences. Generally speaking, some verbs are used in certain sentence patterns. The following author classifies these sentence patterns and common verbs for your reference.

2) s+vt+infinite (infinitive)

The verbs commonly used in this type are: try, dare, refuse, desire, expectation, hope, intention, learning, need, offer, expectation, promise, proposal, purpose, refusal, want, hope, etc.

3) S+VT+Wh-Word+infinitive

I don't know what to do.

The verbs commonly used in this type are: ask, consider, decide, find, explain, find, forget, guess, ask, understand, learn, observe, remember, see, solve, tell, think, understand, wonder and so on.

4) Verb+Verb+Gerund

I like living here.

These commonly used verbs are: admit, suggest, avoid, consider, defend, enjoy, excuse, complete, taboo, mind, miss, practice, take risks, suggest, give up, and can't help.

5) Clauses

I don't think he is right.

Commonly used verbs in this type include: acknowledge, believe, command, acknowledge, declare, demand, deny, doubt, expect, explain, feel, hear, hope, imagine, intend, know, mean, mind, pay attention, propose, demand, report, say, look, show, suggest, pose, think, understand.

Besides be verbs, there are some verbs that can be used as verbs. 1) Verbs expressing feelings, such as feeling, smell, taste, sound, appearance, obvious, seemingly, etc. 2) Verbs expressing changes, such as change, gain, length, turn, walk, etc. 3) verbs that indicate continuation, such as remain, keep, seem, hold, stay, rest, etc. 4) Instantaneous verbs such as coming, falling, deciding, cutting and occupying. 5) Other verbs such as eating, lying down, proving, circling, running, lighting, sitting, standing, continuing, hanging, etc.

2)S+VT+N/Pron+To/for- phrase

He sent me a book.

He bought me a coat.

Common verbs that need to precede to are: allow, bring, deny, do, give, grant, hand, leave, lend, offer, own, pass, pay, permit, promise, promise, read, reject, render, restore, sale, send, show, teach and so on.

Common verbs that need to add for before indirect objects are: bring, buy, cash, choose, take, get, leave, make, order, draw, play, save, sing, reserve and so on.

5.s (subject) +VT (predicate) +O (object) +O C (object complement)

1) S + VT + N/Pron + N

We named our baby Tom.

These commonly used verbs are: appointment, call, choice, election, entity, search, manufacture, naming, nomination (naming).

Adjective, noun

He painted the wall white.

These commonly used verbs are: hit, boil, cut, catch up, find, get, hold, stay, leave, like, make, draw, see, decide, turn, want, wash, wipe, wish and so on.

3) S+VT+N/Pron+Prep phrase

She always keeps everything in order.

4) S+VT+N/Pron+infinitive

I want you to stay.

I let him work.

These commonly used verbs are: a) infinitive words with to: suggest, allow, ask, beg, cause, choose, command, decide, take risks, expect, force, obtain, hate, invite, know, leave, like, love, command, allow, persuade, prefer, stay, request, teach, tell. B) infinitive words without to: feeling, owning, hearing, knowing, letting, listening, watching, making, paying attention, seeing, watching, etc.

5) s+vt+n/pron+participant (participle)

I heard someone calling my name.

I feel something moving.

These commonly used verbs are: grasp, feel, find, get, own, hear, imagine, keep, leave, listen, look, pay attention, observe, perceive, see, set, be small, start, watch and so on.

6) S+VT+N/Pron+Wh-word+infinitive

He told me how to do it.

These commonly used verbs are: persuade, ask, inform, show, teach, tell, etc.

7) clauses

He told me that the film was great.

This kind of commonly used verbs are: guarantee, inform, promise, remind, teach, inform, warm and so on.

8) Noun+verb+noun+verb-clause

He asked me what he should do.

The verbs commonly used in this type are: suggest, ask, inform, show, teach and tell.
