Qualification to participate in the competition
Participants are non-mathematics majors (including financial mathematics, statistics and other majors) who are studying advanced mathematics courses in our school. This competition is divided into four levels: undergraduate A, undergraduate B, undergraduate II and junior college. Undergraduate students with first-class master's degree programs participate in first-class A competition, among which undergraduates with less than 150 hours of advanced mathematics participate in first-class B competition; Undergraduate students from other universities participate in the second-level undergraduate competition; Junior college students participate in junior college competitions. Students who meet the low-level competition conditions are allowed to sign up for high-level competitions, but students who meet the high-level competition conditions are not allowed to participate in low-level competitions.
Examination content
The competition is organized by experts hired by the host school who do not participate in the competition.
The undergraduate examination questions are based on the Basic Requirements of Higher Mathematics Teaching formulated by the Steering Committee of Mathematics and Statistics Course of the Ministry of Education.
The proportion of basic questions is not less than 50%, and the rest will reflect: (1) the characteristics of quality education; (2) the characteristics of the competition questions; (3) the application of mathematics (excluding the unique modeling questions); (4) Mathematical thinking method and logical reasoning. The test questions should be hierarchical and can open the class. Details are as follows:
Undergraduate A-level: unary and multivariate calculus, spatial analytic geometry, polynomial series and power series.
B: One-dimensional calculus, multiple differential calculus, double integral and their applications.
Undergraduate level 2: one-dimensional calculus, multiple differential calculus, double integral.
