Development of Mathematics Department of East China Normal University
Since its establishment, the Department has sent more than 4,000 undergraduate graduates, more than 300 masters and more than 50 doctoral graduates to all walks of life. Some of them are well-known mathematicians at home and abroad, some have become scholar-type management cadres, and there are also a number of famous professors, doctoral tutors and rising stars in mathematics. Great achievements have been made in teaching and scientific research. In the past six years, * * * has published 23 monographs, 5 translations, 15 textbooks and 400 papers. At present, he is in charge of the National 973 Project 1, 8 key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation, 4 key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation, general projects of the National Natural Science Foundation 15, and 5 projects funded by provincial (municipal) ministries. Four people won the National Outstanding Talents Fund, 1 person won the Outstanding Young and Middle-aged Talents Fund of the National Natural Science Foundation, and 1 person won the Cross-century Talents Fund of the State Education Commission. In recent years, he has won 2 prizes for Chen Shengshen's scientific research mathematics, 3 third prizes for national natural science, 3 first prizes for scientific and technological progress of the Ministry of Education, 2 second prizes, 3 awards for outstanding young scholars of Qiushi Science and Technology Fund, and more than 20 awards from other provinces (cities) and ministries. There are 59,200 books in the professional reference room, including 72 Chinese books10, 5500 foreign books 15500, 88 * * 4920 Chinese periodicals, 270 English periodicals16 * * and 370 * * 365,438 foreign periodicals. Among them, there are more than 20 periodicals on mathematics education and history of science. The applied mathematics laboratory has a computer room with an area of 100 square meter. At present, there are more than 140 microcomputers connected to the Internet through the campus network. In addition, our department has also built a number of multimedia-aided teaching laboratories, which are suitable for all kinds of high-level academic activities and academic reports, speeches and other teaching needs.
