Kang (1896- 1959), one of the pioneers of China vernacular poetry, was born in Anyue, Sichuan. During the May 4th Movement, he, Fu Sinian, Luo Jialun, Zhang and others were the most important people in Peking University, but he could hardly get into the gate of Peking University.
19 17, both Chinese and English got the first place, but math got zero. At first, Peking University refused to accept him. Later, Hu Shi threatened to resign, and Peking University reluctantly accepted him.

However, this also led to his being very good at literature but not at science. 19 17, 20-year-old Luo Jialun took the entrance examination in Peking University. However, his achievements in the exam made people laugh and cry. At that time, Luo Jialun's composition score was perfect. Hu Shi, who corrected the test paper, appreciated him and recommended him to the school admissions Committee. However, after reading all Luo Jialun's report cards, the members were very headache, because Luo Jialun's math score turned out to be zero! Other subjects are also average. Finally, President Cai Yuanpei, who presided over the enrollment meeting, pushed his way through the crowd and accepted Luo Jialun, a freak. As a result, Luo Jialun was able to enter Peking University and major in foreign literature.
It was with his outstanding literary talent that Luo Jialun became the standard-bearer of the "New Culture Movement", and the May 4th Declaration he wrote also inspired many promising young people to rise up and save the country.
Qian Zhongshu: Math 15 was also accepted by Tsinghua.
Qian Zhongshu (19 10- 1998) was born in Wuxi, Jiangsu. /kloc-in the summer of 0/929, he won the Tsinghua University with the first place in foreign languages and Chinese. His Chinese was excellent, and he got full marks in English. His talent caused a sensation in Tsinghua. Although his math score is only 15, he ranks 57th among the 174 boys officially admitted to Tsinghua.
