1, Euclid:

Euclid, an ancient Greek mathematician, was called "the father of geometry". His most famous book, The Elements of Geometry, is the foundation of European mathematics, in which he put forward five postulates. Euclid's Elements of Geometry is widely regarded as the most successful textbook in history. Euclid also wrote some works about perspective, conic curve, spherical geometry and number theory.

2. Qin:

Qin studied astrology, rhythm, arithmetic, poetry, bows, swords and architecture. He used to be the magistrate of Qiongzhou and Sinongcheng, and was later demoted. Died in Meizhou, 1247, and completed the book Shu Jiu Zhang. Among them, the great derivative, the triclinic quadrature and the Qin algorithm are important contributions of world significance, expressing one kind.

3. Zhu Shijie:

Zhu Shijie developed the "Quaternary Technique" on the basis of celestial sphere technique at that time, that is, he listed the polynomial equation of higher degree and its elimination method. In addition, he also created the "superposition method", that is, the summation method of high-order arithmetic progression, and the "trick", that is, the high-order interpolation method.

4. Yang Hui:

Yang Hui once served as a local administrative officer in the Southern Song Dynasty, running around Suzhou and Hangzhou for honest officials. He has made great contributions to summarizing agile algorithms such as folk multiplication, division, "superposition", vertical and horizontal diagrams, and mathematics education. He is the first mathematician in the world to draw a rich vertical and horizontal map and discuss its composition law.

5. Ye Li:

Ye Li's main contribution to mathematics is celestial theory, which is used to study the properties of inscribed circle and circumscribed circle of right triangle. Together with Yang Hui, Qin and Zhu Shijie, they are also called "the four great mathematicians of Song and Yuan Dynasties".
