Onion Mathematics was founded in February 20 13, and it has been nearly five years. The core founding team has been thinking about how to combine education with science and technology to better promote students' learning, which has been 10 years.
We hope to do a small thing with "education" and "technology". This little thing is to "make students like learning, love learning, and feel the joy of learning."
Education is a long chain. When the chain is lengthened, there will be the formation of innovation, cooperation, inquiry, autonomous learning, moral education and world outlook. We hope to help most students, whether in rural or urban areas, start the first step of learning: realize that learning can be interesting.
Most students often have the following States: first, they are not interested, second, they can't learn, and third, they learn well. The teacher seems to understand the lecture, but they always fail in the exam. Because of these conditions, students have great self-doubt: "Is the teacher wrong?" Or am I not? No matter what kind of mentality, it will make you feel uncertain in the next study and become more rebellious. Teachers often say, "Listen carefully in class and you will do well in the exam. Students will feel cheated if they fail the exam for the first time. Trust the teacher again, fail the second exam, and feel cheated. Finally, the exam will feel "needless to say, listen carefully!" "It won't work to listen to it carefully. What should I do?
The biggest difference between adults and primary school students is that adults can tolerate it. Adults can tolerate if they can see the possible results in the future. If the child is not interested in one thing and has no effect, then simply don't do it. He would rather be scolded by adults and told that "something will happen to this child" than study. Even if he knows that he will get 90 points in the exam, 100 points, someone will praise him, but he is unwilling to study. This shows how boring our education for children is. School is a place where children's personality is defined by "scores". For a child, if he can only get 59 points, he is a loser. But even under such great pressure, many children prefer not to study. In fact, the child's heart is very contradictory and he wants to learn well.
