Software engineering doesn't need much math. As students of science and engineering, they have to learn three mathematics, namely advanced mathematics, linear algebra, probability and mathematical statistics. Software engineering majors need to relearn discrete mathematics, but it is not difficult, provided that you study hard. Software engineering is mainly based on application, and computer major has higher requirements for mathematics.

With some experience, it will be easier to make software. My friend graduated from this major.
