Liberal arts students are students studying liberal arts, as opposed to science students. The main subjects of liberal arts students are Chinese, mathematics, English, politics, history and geography, supplemented by physics, chemistry and biology.
In the high school education of most inland provinces and cities, liberal arts students take liberal arts integration (history, politics and geography) as the examination subject of the college entrance examination, while science integration (physics, chemistry and biology) is only taken as the graduation examination subject of high school and is not included in the college entrance examination. Only a few coastal cities implement comprehensive teaching of arts and sciences.
After the Third Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee in communist party, China adopted "the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China's Decision on Comprehensively Deepening Reform", the reform of college entrance examination was formally put forward as one of the measures to reform the education system. It is expected to be 20 17 years, and the promotion effect and experience will be summarized. By then, all provinces and cities will officially cancel the division of arts and sciences.
