Explain that the teacher values you very much and thinks that you have room for improvement. I was very introverted in high school and didn't like to raise my hand to answer the teacher's questions. But then our head teacher (also a math teacher) often told me to stand up and answer questions in class. Later, I was more courageous and confident. So, don't blame the teacher for treating you like a fool, which shows that your teacher is trying to make you progress. Work hard! Don't live up to the teacher's good intentions.
