Mathematical problems of trapezoid
The area of trapezoid = the area of two triangles on both sides+the area of rectangle.

The two triangles on both sides are equal in area and are isosceles right triangles.

The area of the triangle is 5*5/2= 12.5 square centimeters.

The sum of the areas of two triangles =25 square centimeters.

The height of the middle rectangle is 5 and the length is 17.5-5-5=7.5.

Its area is 7.5*5=37.5 square centimeters.

So the area of the trapezoid is 37.5+25=62.5 square centimeters.
