Then, as an English teacher and a monitor of the sixth grade, I will talk about the English situation of our sixth grade students in several exams this semester and some things I know. It can be said that our students' English foundation is very solid, especially in the fourth grade, and they have obvious advantages in Chinese, mathematics and English. However, this advantage is influenced by new teachers taking over every year and changing English teachers in individual classes. Of course, our teaching requirements have been greatly improved than before, and the difficulty of the final exam has also been significantly improved. As a result, students' English scores are seriously divided into two levels, between students and between classes. There are many reasons for this. Faced with the excellent rate and passing rate we require in the graduation exam, the final exam results as reference data, and some situations of sampling and classroom teaching, we are really under great pressure as English teachers.

For the situation that the excellent rate of individual classes is not high, there are many underachievers and the passing rate is unstable, I want to talk about some suggestions from my personal experience:

1, of course, is to find the reason from yourself, first of all, we must find a way, hold an optimistic attitude, think hard, be willing to contribute, and communicate with people more. Our sixth-grade teachers Fang Yueqin and Zhang Yalian are experienced, and we will often discuss with them, especially our own doubts, so we must find them to understand. After class, several of our teachers will also communicate frequently. What problems did they encounter today and how did they solve them? Teachers in small villages can contact us by phone. Maybe QQ is more convenient for communication.

2. It is also important to grasp classroom teaching. No matter which subject, the quality of classroom teaching is the most important if you want to get good grades. Of course, the effect of making up after class is also there, and it must be time-consuming and laborious. My experience is because I am the head teacher, and now I am the head teacher of English class. I deeply realize that as a class teacher, the quality of students' lectures is relatively high, and I believe all teachers in charge of English classes have this experience. After class, the students' homework and my requirements for them are all very hard and serious. Therefore, it can be said that I have little after-school effort in my class. In classroom teaching, we should pay attention to methods, especially some boring content, find a breakthrough point that students can easily understand and try to attract students. You must have a clear understanding of what you have taught today and reflect on it in time after class. Are you happy teaching today? Do the students like their study? At the same time, for some underachievers, don't lose in class, ignore them, and don't give them the opportunity to speak and practice speaking. Instead, keep an eye on them like a policeman and make eye contact with them. Because they are backward, there may be more places they don't know, and it is easy to desert. The teacher's eyes and roll call not only remind him to listen carefully, but also give him a chance to practice.

3. Make up lessons after class. There will always be some poor students in the class, either with poor study habits or poor foundation. Teachers must spend time after class and give individual counseling. For example, in class, I often nag about be verbs, modal verbs and auxiliary verbs. I thought I would say it often and every day, but in fact he didn't understand it, so he couldn't grasp these key points and find a way when doing sentence pattern exercises. Therefore, we must find an opportunity to tell the content of the class again alone. In addition, we should grasp the dictation of some underachievers. If the dictation is not good, you should stare at him and repeat it until everything is correct.

To do this work well, the teaching task of any class must be coordinated by the head teacher. I remember when I was in class with Mr. Tao Furong, and when I was away, she would take the initiative to help me let the students write some words silently, stating that I didn't ask her for help. With such a head teacher, I think students will care less about our English teacher, and with the support of the head teacher, our classroom teaching will be much easier. Sometimes, just take one more sentence from the head teacher's mouth, watch English, pay attention to English homework, read English books and so on. Students will keep a heart and be more serious about English when they see that the class teacher cares so much. Here, I think our teacher Yao is very supportive of our English teaching. When I have something to do, he gives me whatever I want. He always said I would let you go first. I'm fine. Your English is very important. You can go now. Sometimes when I walk into the classroom, even if Mr. Yao is giving a lecture, he will ask me, do you want it or should I let you? Then immediately let the students put down math, it will be English. Listen to teacher Wei. I am very grateful to Mr. Yao for his cooperation and support. After class, he often asks students to learn English well and review English more after class. I feel that with such a teacher's cooperation, my teaching in Class 3 is still handy. Of course, other class teachers do the same, but I don't understand. Some of them may do better.
