Is social work easy to learn?
I study history, and the social work major is in the same college as ours, so there are many teachers who usually contact social work students, and I am familiar with this major. This major is the same as history, and most people are transferred. This major is mainly to help others, help society and make contributions to society. It is more appropriate to use the word "helping others to help themselves" to describe this major. Is this major easy to learn? The following is my opinion:

0 1 Personally, social work is easy to learn. There is no need for mathematics, no need for brain-burning speculative training, and no need for strict skill training. It is an easy major in liberal arts. In China, the social work industry has just started, and its development time is only about ten years. Therefore, an industry that has just started, a newly opened major, is not well-known in the whole society, so few people are willing to study this major. Everyone doesn't know what social workers do, and they still do, so social workers have always been a relatively unpopular profession.

What is social work for?

So what exactly does this major do? In fact, social work is a new industry, including social assistance, resolving social disputes, crime correction, drug rehabilitation, etc., which belongs to practical behavior. Helping the poor is the purpose of social work. Its goal is to help people in crisis solve difficulties and enhance their living ability. For example, dealing with family disputes in the community where we live, engaging in psychological counseling for people after the earthquake, and engaging in welfare work for the elderly in nursing homes all belong to the category of social work. The following are some pictures of social work activities:

Main courses: introduction to social work, introduction to sociology, introduction to psychology, introduction to law, cultural anthropology, social investigation methods, social statistics, human behavior and social environment, case work, group work, community work, social work management, social policy analysis, social work regulations, administrative management, organizational sociology, social psychology, human resource development and management, office automation and so on.

There is a big gap between the ideal and reality of this major in the direction of employment, and the treatment is not high. After graduating from this major, there are mainly the following destinations:

1. Work as a civil servant or Selected Graduates in the civil administration system, neighborhood offices and community neighborhood committees. Social work major has a strong advantage in entering the civil service system.

2. Enter a professional social work organization. Social work organizations are becoming more and more powerful, such as youth social workers, elderly social workers, drug rehabilitation social workers and family social workers. There are more and more social work organizations in Shanghai and Shenzhen.

3. Join NGOs, NPOs and other non-governmental, non-profit organizations and non-governmental organizations to engage in various public welfare projects.

4. Various social welfare institutions, such as welfare institutions for the elderly, psychological counseling institutions, or women's federations, trade unions and other organizations.

Social workers suggest that you apply for colleges and universities in economically developed areas, because first-tier cities have a greater demand for social workers, and employment can also consider this direction.
