Introduction to the World Congress of Chinese Mathematicians
The World Congress of Chinese Mathematicians is held every three years. The first congress was held in Beijing on 1998, the second in Taiwan Province province, the third in Hongkong, the fourth in Hangzhou, and the fifth in Beijing, which was undertaken by the Department of Mathematics of Tsinghua University.

The Morningside Mathematics Award, funded by Hong Kong Hang Lung Group, is the highest award of the World Congress of Chinese Mathematicians. The organizers are Qiu Chengtong, a famous mathematician, and Chen Qizong, chairman of Hang Lung Group. This award is open to Chinese mathematicians all over the world, and rewards people under 45 who have made outstanding contributions in the fields of theory and applied mathematics.
