Jiayu Li's main research directions are geometric analysis, complex geometry and global differential geometry, and he has made important research achievements in the field of geometric analysis. He was a researcher at UNESCO and the International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), and was responsible for international cooperation in geometry and analysis. Supported by the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, he was awarded the distinguished professor by the Yangtze Scholar Award Program of the Ministry of Education and the Chen Shengshen Mathematics Award.
The research field involves partial differential equations, differential geometry, complex geometry and other professional directions, and has made outstanding contributions to the research of harmonic mapping and its heat flow, Hermite-Einstein metric on parabolic bundles, quaternion mapping, high codimension average curvature flow and so on.
