High School Chemistry Competition Reference Book (Revised Edition)
Students often ask what reference books to use in preparing for the Chemistry Olympics. I list the following books according to my own experience of scouring books and the experiences of many successful students:
Regular/college entrance examination category:
Handbook of Important and Difficult Points in Senior High School Chemistry (Huazhong Normal University Press, edited by Teacher Wang Houxiong); Compilation of college entrance examination questions over the years (any kind, preferably with detailed analysis); High school chemistry reader (very old chemistry textbook); Research-oriented Learning of Chemistry in Senior High School (Longmen Bookstore, edited by Shi Hua and Sheng Huanhua)
Preliminary category:
Chemistry College Entrance Examination to Competition (edited by Ang Lee, Shaanxi Normal University Press); Senior High School and Junior High School Chemistry Olympiad (edited by Duan Kangning, Jiangsu Education Press); New Guide to Chemistry Olympic Competition in Senior High School (edited by Wu Xinmin, Nanjing Normal University Press, but the topic is very old); Preliminary Counseling for Senior High School Chemistry Competition (edited by Ang Lee and Su Jianxiang, Shaanxi Normal University Press); Hot topics in high school chemistry competition (Hunan Normal University Press, edited by Xiao Pengfei, Su Jianxiang and Zhou Zeyu); Comment on the latest Olympic Games questions? Chemistry in Senior High School (Nanjing Normal University Press, edited by Ma Hongjia); Art of War of Sun Tzu Orsay-Senior High School Chemistry (edited by Shi Hua of Longmen Bookstore); Analysis of the latest competition questions of senior high school chemistry volume (Capital Normal University Press); Chemistry Competition Course (East China Normal University Press, three volumes, edited by Wang Zuhao, Deng Lixin, Shi Hua, etc. ) and the title of Southwest Normal University Press have all been forgotten (Mr. Yan, Mr. Wu and Mr. Cao participated in the compilation, which is absolutely classic), as well as the AB course of high school chemistry training class and the gold medal course of Zhejiang University Press? Chemistry of Senior Two (edited by Deng Lixin, Nanjing University Press)
Final category:
Advanced Edition of High School Chemistry Olympiad (edited by Duan Kangning, Jiangsu Education Press); "Guidance of Chemistry Competition in Gold Medal Road Senior High School" and its supporting problem-solving instructions (edited by Ang Lee, Shaanxi Normal University Press); Senior high school chemistry competition final counseling (Shaanxi Normal University Press, edited by Ang Lee and Su Jianxiang); Analysis of test questions in previous international chemistry Olympic competitions (College Press); The latest international and domestic chemistry Olympic Games optimization problem solving (Jilin Education Press), Zhejiang University Press, senior high school chemistry training courses, special lectures, a whole book of senior high school chemistry Olympic Games, practical problems of senior high school chemistry Olympic Games (edited by Yi Ding of Nanjing University, edited by many professors of Nanjing University, newly published by Nanjing Normal University Press in 2005), Chinese school chemistry reader and senior three chemistry (edited by Shi Hua of Nanjing University Press).
Comprehensive popular science category:
Enlightenment of Chemical Experiment and Cultivation of Scientific Thinking (edited by Yan Xuanshen, Peking University Publishing House), Olympic Chemistry (edited by Wu Guoqing, Li Ke 'an, Yan Xuanshen, Duan and Cheng Tieming, Peking University Publishing House), Guidance of Middle School Chemistry Competition-From College Entrance Examination to Olympic Competition (edited by Niu, Yin Yao, Shanghai Education Publishing House) (the above three editors are all Chinese studies). The scientific thinking of competition training is well described in the book, which embodies their propositional thinking. The Relationship between Material Structure and Properties —— Analysis on the Difficulties in Middle School Chemistry (Author, Science Popularization Press, Teacher Zhou is my big boss. He once taught structural chemistry and studied functional materials at Heather Normal University, and was also a doctoral supervisor of curriculum and teaching theory. His book combines the effects of chemical bonds, intermolecular forces, hydrogen bonds and substance aggregation on macroscopic properties. Explain the relationship between structure and nature in a simple way, which is very suitable for competition counseling), "Talking about Chemistry with Middle School Students" (edited by Jin Songshou of Shaanxi Science and Technology Publishing House, Mr. Jin seems to have been in charge of the competition in Zhejiang Province before, and the highlight of this booklet is also the application of the main line of structure in chemistry learning)
Periodicals and magazines:
Chemistry Teaching and Learning, founded by Nanjing Normal University, is generally a special collection of high school competitions in the 1 1 issue every year, which collects the questions of the preliminaries, summer camp selection, national preliminaries and finals in Jiangsu Province last year. "Chemistry Education", "Chemistry Teaching", "Middle School Chemistry Teaching Reference" and "Middle School Chemistry" generally have a special column in each issue to publish articles commenting on Olympic test questions or competition training experience. The editor-in-chief of Middle School Science Monthly is Mr. Wang Houxiong, so there are often competition evaluation articles in the chemistry column.
University textbooks:
Inorganic Chemistry: Inorganic Chemistry (edited by Higher Education Press and Jilin College of Wuhan University), Principles of General Chemistry 2nd Edition. (Peking University Publishing House, edited by Hua, Yang, etc. , and now the third edition is out), the second edition of general inorganic chemistry (edited by Peking University Press and Yan Xuanshen Wang Changfu), and inorganic chemistry (Higher Education Press, fourth edition, three normal universities). Advanced Inorganic Chemistry (Nanjing Normal University Press, Liu Shuwei, Jin Anding, Wu Yong) and Inorganic Chemistry (Higher Education Press, edited by Dalian University of Technology).
Organic chemistry: the second edition of basic organic chemistry (the third edition has been published, edited by Xing,, and Xu); Organic Chemistry (edited by Hu, Higher Education Press); Examples of solving problems in Basic Organic Chemistry (Peking University Press, corresponding to Xing's book); Organic Chemistry (Nankai University Press, Wang, et al. ); Organic Chemistry (edited by Yin Dongdong, three normal universities, Higher Education Press); (Note: I'm not familiar with it because I don't do organic direction or teach competition organic. )
Analytical Chemistry: Analytical Chemistry (edited by Higher Education Press of Wuhan University, with supporting exercises analysis and study guidance on the market) and the textbook of the same name compiled by Normal University (Higher Education Press).
Structural chemistry: the basis of structural chemistry. Problem solving third edition. (Peking University Publishing House, Li Anyun, Zhougongdu Section); Structure and physical properties. (Higher Education Press, edited by Zhou Gongdu); Material Structure (2nd Edition) (Higher Education Press, Xu Guangxian, Wang Xiangyun (Peking University)); Structural Chemistry (edited by Higher Education Press, Northeast Normal University and East China Normal University)
Physical Chemistry: Physical Chemistry (Higher Education Press, Nandafu, now the fifth edition) and supporting problem-solving instructions, Physical Chemistry (Higher Education Press, Peking University Gao, Han Degang, Gao Zhidi, difficult but relatively new) and a concise course of physical chemistry (edited by Yin Yongjia of Shandong University, relatively new by Higher Education Press). This is what I am now giving lectures to college students), the core course of physical chemistry (the textbook of physical chemistry for non-chemistry majors compiled by Science Press and Shen of Nanjing University, the system is the same as the previous classic textbook, but the length is shortened to avoid tedious formula derivation, and each chapter outlines the core content, which is very suitable for middle school students' competitions).
The simulated test questions have been published by China Youth Publishing House, Zhejiang University Press and Nanjing University Press. Although there are old problems, there are still many new ones in general! Most of the competition questions written by Chunyu are copied from the questions before the provincial preliminaries and Paul Hu, so it's not worth buying!
