1, school candidate status (studying in Hong Kong)
Candidates must be students in the sixth grade (equivalent to the third grade in Chinese mainland) of a registered school approved to take the diploma examination and attend classes in this school.
2. Self-cultivation (students studying in the Mainland)
There is a big difference between mainland students taking DSE and Hong Kong students taking DSE. As a private student, anyone who meets one of the following conditions can take the graduation certificate examination:
A) Take the diploma exam or equivalent exam;
Interpretation: Hong Kong DSE exam subjects are allowed to be re-examined, and you can directly register for DSE, college entrance examination, alevel, ap and other domestic and foreign exams.
B) I have reached the age of 19, calculated by the examination year of 1;
Interpretation: Students of age 19 can register directly without any other registration conditions.
C) Did not take the diploma examination course, but completed or are taking the equivalent course in the examination year;
Interpretation: After graduating from high school, students who are studying in senior three need to provide proof of studying in senior three and their grades in senior one and senior two during the registration process. They need the cooperation of mainland schools and don't need student status.
