Mathematics and Applied Mathematics (Basic Science Experimental Class)
Training objective: to train students to master solid knowledge of mathematics, probability theory and mathematical statistics, and to have the ability to engage in mathematical theory research or use mathematical theory, knowledge and methods to study and solve theoretical and applied problems in a certain field of natural science, social science and industrial technology. Pay attention to cultivating students' learning ability and scientific research ability, emphasize the combination of theory and practice, interdisciplinary, and carry out personalized training. Students can engage in the study and research of mathematical theory, as well as the theoretical and applied research of interdisciplinary subjects such as information science theory and technology, financial engineering and economic management, control theory and technology, and can use scientific computing technology to realize the connection between theory, model and practical application problems, and creatively study and solve theoretical and practical problems in a certain scientific field.
Training scheme: while training in accordance with the professional norms of mathematics and applied mathematics, an open and research-oriented teaching mode is adopted to implement a relatively independent training scheme. Taking students' study and research as the center, the tutorial system is implemented in senior grades, and students are encouraged and organized to study and study mathematics, information science, control theory and financial management related topics under the guidance of tutors according to their personal hobbies, and directly participate in scientific research and teaching activities to improve their scientific research ability.
Professional content: The basic science experimental class will learn the basic theoretical knowledge of mathematics and applied mathematics, probability theory and mathematical statistics, and computational mathematics, and train scientific thinking and mathematical modeling. This paper introduces the professional basic knowledge and new research progress in the research fields of mathematics and applied mathematics, information science, control theory, finance and economic management, and carries out interdisciplinary study, research and practice in professional fields.
Employment and further education: the training process of undergraduate and graduate students is organically linked, and undergraduate graduates are not encouraged to find jobs directly. The general destination of graduates is to go abroad for further study, and to be sent to graduate school and postgraduate entrance examination.
Academic system and degree awarding: the academic system lasts for 4 years, and the bachelor of science degree is awarded after graduation.
