Notes for Mathematics Teachers Part I
As a first-line primary school math teacher, during my five-year teaching career, I gradually realized the sublimity and burden of being a teacher. At present, China is carrying out a new round of basic education curriculum reform, which is the largest and most comprehensive curriculum reform since the founding of the People's Republic of China. It poses a brand-new challenge to teachers, from which we realize the influence of curriculum reform on classrooms, teachers and students, and there are also some puzzles. In the summer vacation, I was lucky enough to read Mr. Fan Meinan's masterpiece "The Implication of Teaching Wit and Educational Wisdom". With many examples and experiences, this book vividly and clearly expounds the boring basic viewpoints of pedagogy and psychology, which makes people feel cordial and inspired. Those insights about education are worth reading and tasting again and again. People say: reading is enough to empathize, enough to gamble and enough to display one's talents. Make people open their hearts, gain new knowledge except contempt, and cultivate their spirit. Because there is a vast world in the book, there is an immortal spirit. Although times have changed and things have changed, books are always new. It is true that books are the crystallization of human wisdom, and books are the ladder of human progress. Reading is a dialogue with a master and an exchange with a wise man. It is a rare spiritual journey, and it will also make people gain a lot. Mr. Fan Meinan said, what is wit? The embodiment of wisdom? . So, what should teachers do? Wit? To properly handle accidental events in teaching, we must have various qualities and conditions. In my opinion, the following aspects are indispensable:
First of all, we should have a heart that loves students, cultivate teachers' love and promote teaching with affection. Love is the first way to educate people. Taiwan Province educator Gao Zhendong said? Children who love themselves are human beings, and children who love others are gods. ? Education itself means: a tree shakes another tree, a cloud pushes another cloud, and a soul awakens another soul. If education fails to touch the human soul, it is not an education to arouse changes in the depths of the human soul. Love is almost the only force to realize real education. As Suhomlinski said:? Under what conditions can knowledge touch students' personal spiritual world and become people's cherished intellectual wealth and moral wealth? Only under such wealth, as far as image is concerned, will there be emotional blood flowing in the living body of knowledge. ? I remember someone said: What kind of teacher do you want to train for your children? Be such a teacher yourself! Yes, teacher, please bring a beautiful smile to school, bring good expectations to people and the world to colleagues and children, and count knowledge with curious eyes like children; Introducing games, the oldest way of human happiness, into the classroom; Replace the motto that has been used for many years with praise and humor; Enrich your face with various expressions sealed in the corner, and listen to the light and happy footsteps in the corridor with your toes. Those special children have learned to be correct by making all kinds of mistakes; We should never despair, because as long as we are full of expectations, they may be full of hope. What illuminates the school will never be the enrollment rate or other fame and fortune, but the sacred and magnificent teaching spirit, the broad love for children without a trace of dust, and the deep pity for every child as an innocent life. With love and sympathy, we will never give up. Let's tell you with a monograph that we haven't given up. ? From these words, I deeply feel the importance of opening the window of students' hearts with love, entering their spiritual world and becoming their mentor. In fact, underachievers, like outstanding students, are the hope of the motherland. For those flowers that haven't opened yet, we should put more patience, warmth and special love into them, so that a hundred flowers can blossom and welcome all loves!
Secondly, we should treat every student equally, respect personality and treat every student kindly. Mathematics curriculum standards? Basic ideas? The first article in the book says:? The mathematics curriculum in the compulsory education stage should emphasize the foundation, popularization and development, so that mathematics education can face all students and realize that everyone can learn valuable mathematics; Everyone can get the necessary mathematics; Different people get different development in mathematics. ? What is the necessity in mathematics curriculum standards? For all students? The expression of ""is a red line running through the new curriculum standards. The teacher wants it? Someone in the eye? Care for each student seriously, develop each student's potential and provide opportunities for each student's success. The most precious thing in human nature is to be respected and appreciated by others, protect students' self-esteem, respect students' dominant position, let them experience the value of life and enhance this value. This is the real education, successful education. Let children think that you are a big tree and give them a shade; Keep corporal punishment and disguised corporal punishment away from civilized places. Of course, as a teacher and educator, we should not let students' bad phenomena go unchecked. Combining leniency with severity is love, but being strict with kindness.
Third, we should have agile thinking, broaden our horizons and broaden our thinking. Tactful handling of accidental events in classroom teaching is essentially to guide the situation, or to attract jade, or to change the topic skillfully and get rid of the immediate predicament. This requires teachers to have agile thinking and divergent thinking, so as to meet the needs of both sides and save the day. For example, when I was teaching the perimeter of graphics, I surrounded a rectangle with a length of 4 cm and a width of 3 cm on the nail board, so that students could explore the formula for calculating the perimeter of the rectangle. Through independent thinking and cooperative communication, students come up with the following methods: (1) 4+4+3+3 (2) 4+3+3 (3) 4? 2+3? 2(4)(4+3)? 2. Everything is expected. After comparing the optimization algorithms, I am going to guide them to explore the formula for calculating the perimeter of a square. At this time, a student reported his two algorithms: (1)4? 3+2(2)4? 4-2, after a quick judgment, I think this is a very valuable generation resource, so let this classmate take the stage to explain it to you. He said: if all four sides are regarded as 3 cm and 2 cm is missing, it can be listed as the first formula; If all four sides are regarded as 4 cm, add 2 cm, which can be listed as the second calculation formula. What a great idea! Let's give him a warm applause. At this moment, I lost no time in asking: From his speech, you can find out how to calculate the circumference of a square. The whole process is natural and smooth, and the discovery of the square perimeter formula comes naturally. It is a wise move for teachers with practical wisdom to make students' smart thinking sparks constantly generate and fully enjoy the fun of learning.
Fourth, we should have rich knowledge. There is a saying: give students a glass of water, and the teacher should have a bucket of water. I don't think this is right. In the era of information explosion, a bucket of water is far from enough. Only by digging a spring and having flowing water can we be competent for today's teaching. ? Digging a spring means that the teacher has to study for a lifetime. In today's information age, the updating degree of knowledge is amazing. In education and teaching, we should not be limited to the knowledge in textbooks, but also go out of textbooks, be good at expanding relevant knowledge, arm our minds with knowledge, and integrate into education and teaching activities to protect students' good habit of asking why, so as to enrich and enrich their classroom. Teachers can easily find the connection between accidents and teaching tasks and get to the point quickly if they are proficient in majors, astronomy and geography, and are good at using the knowledge and principles of psychology.
The life of reading is beautiful, noble and happy. Teachers should regard reading as a part of life, apply what they have learned, and always support their education and teaching work with brand-new teaching concepts. Reading this book has greatly influenced me, and I need to continue studying in my future work to enrich and develop.
Notes for Mathematics Teachers Part II
I am an ordinary math teacher and have been busy for several years. In recent years, I dare not say how many books I have read, let alone take reading as my way of walking, but at least one thing can make me feel better, that is, I have become increasingly inseparable from reading. Because although I am an ordinary math teacher, I really want to be a better math teacher than ordinary people. It was reading that made me know my own shortcomings, and it was reading that made me find a way to change and gave me the motivation to move forward.
The first time I really felt I needed to study came from a math class I took. Before that, I never thought I lacked reading, nor did I think I needed reading. Aren't they just a group of children? What can't be handled? Besides, I'm just a math teacher. Let the Chinese teacher do reading. I remember that class was about pi, because there was sufficient preparation before class, coins and thin lines. After some experiments, the students quickly came to a conclusion. As far as I'm concerned, it's still early to finish class. Let's talk about pi, such as Zu Chongzhi. The students perked up and pricked up their ears when they saw that I was going to introduce the great mathematician Zu Chongzhi to them. Seeing the students' posture, I feel a little guilty, because I don't know much more about Zu Chongzhi and Pi than they do. I just vaguely remember some information about Zu Chongzhi I have read before, but I can't make an accurate statement in front of the whole class. I can't help it I can't go back if I say it. I crustily skin of head and began my introduction: Zu Chongzhi was a famous mathematician in ancient China and made great achievements? Considering that I don't know much, I try to say something that is unlikely to go wrong. I didn't expect the house to leak rain overnight. Before I finished, a student threw out the first question: which dynasty was he from, teacher? Yes, which dynasty was he from? I quickly tried to extract the answers that the students wanted from my mind. I can't remember the shortage of inventory in my impatient head. Alas, I only blame myself for reading too little, and I regretted it at that time. However, considering that I have just been their teacher for a long time, if I am defeated by the students at once, I will lose my prestige in the future. A student raised his hand in pain and embarrassment. Teacher, I know that Zu Chongzhi was a famous mathematician and astronomer in the Southern and Northern Dynasties. He calculated the pi between 3. 14 15926 and 3. 14 15927 years ago. I also know that there is a crater on the back of the moon called Zu Chongzhi crater? The students were obviously attracted by his endless stories and didn't notice me, a teacher who was embarrassed to hang aside.
The students are very tolerant, and then they continue to like my class and I am a teacher who can't give them enough knowledge. However, the feeling of being hollowed out reminds me again and again to pick up the book, calm down, read more, record more and think more. So the day of reading really came into my life. From the beginning, I studied in order not to be confused by students, and later I studied in order to solve doubts, grow up and be a better teacher than ordinary teachers. Reading is quietly changing my life. So in teaching, I know that reflection and analysis, a good teacher should be a teacher who can read and think. In those years, the educational books on mathematics at hand enriched my teaching ideas and taught me how to be a qualified math teacher according to the laws of education and teaching.
As the famous teacher Zhang Xinghua said? If a math teacher's reading is limited to the category of math education, then his development will be limited. Only by extensively dabbling and learning from others can we broaden our horizons. ? In this way, I began to try to transcend mathematics and education and pay attention to history, literature, aesthetics and philosophy. , really started mine? Miscellaneous reading era? . In fact, this is what outsiders see? Break the rules? My reading has enriched my knowledge, broadened my horizons and enriched my thoughts. Accompanied by reading, I walked leisurely all the way.
I should say that I am lucky, because our school attaches great importance to the reading of teachers and students, and now it takes reading as the top priority, which has set off a vigorous movement? Reading Festival? Activities. In particular, I would like to thank the school for its requirements for teachers' rapid growth and writing once a month, which has gradually formed the habit of reading and made me afraid to be lazy. Nowadays, it is still my wish to be a better teacher than ordinary teachers. I think I will realize this wish, because reading is the foundation of my growth, which enriches me and makes me thoughtful.
? Leave some time to study, and train us to be numb by the complicated life; Find some time to read and correct our lost direction because of busyness; Squeeze out some time to read and open our hearts hidden by mechanical work. ? Let's all pick up books, learn more and more knowledge and nutrition, and get more and more spiritual wealth; Reading classics enriches life and makes life more exciting in reading!
Notes for Mathematics Teachers Part III
How to improve their math literacy and make their classes more interesting in math culture is always a concern of every math teacher. With these questions, I read the book Mathematical Culture by three professors, Zheng Yuxin, Wang Xianchang and Cai Zhong. Through reading, I really made clear the meaning and essence of mathematics education, and had a deeper understanding of the goal and realization way of mathematics education.
This book talks about the rapid development of mathematics today from the origin of ancient Greek mathematics. It shows me the long history of mathematics development, and the characters who once appeared in primary school mathematics textbooks are vividly on the paper. By comparing the history of mathematics development in the West and China, we can preliminarily understand the main contributions of famous mathematicians in past dynasties and the historical process of mathematics development. This book is more than just a historical narrative. The professor further expounded from his own point of view what mathematics is culture and the significance of taking mathematics as culture, which made my understanding of mathematics culture more profound.
What inspired me most about this book? Looking at mathematical culture from the perspective of education? In this part, the author emphasizes that we should pay attention to correcting such a tendency, and we can't just emphasize the role of mathematical tools. However, at present, the teaching goal of mathematics curriculum in primary and secondary schools in China is mainly to teach mathematics as a tool, and more attention should be paid to the training and cultivation of mathematical thinking in daily teaching. From the teaching point of view, the following questions are particularly important, that is, how to cultivate students' mathematical thinking through daily mathematics teaching, because? Thinking activities only appear after acquiring the knowledge of the course content, but are an indispensable part of the successful learning process. Therefore, the course content must be able to stimulate the inspiration of thinking, even in the most humble and basic classroom situation, it can also stimulate the source of students' thinking. ? This passage made me clear that the training and cultivation of mathematical thinking is more important than the study of specific mathematical knowledge and skills. From this, I deeply thought about my classroom.
? A nation without a developed mathematical culture is doomed to decline, and a nation without mathematics as a culture is doomed to decline. We should strive to establish a clear national or national mathematical consciousness. ? I think that the training of thinking methods should be infiltrated into the daily mathematics teaching activities, and the analysis of thinking methods should be used to drive and promote the teaching of specific mathematics content.
It is mentioned in the book that Mr. Xiaowenqiang borrowed books from Yuan Mei, a writer in Qing Dynasty. Learning, talent and knowledge? In his view, mathematics education in a broad sense not only regards mathematics as a practical tool, but also realizes a wider educational function through mathematics teaching, including extending mathematical thinking to general thinking, cultivating correct learning methods and attitudes, good style of study and moral cultivation, and also including learning pleasure and respect for knowledge brought by mathematics appreciation. We must clarify the relationship between the three. Compared with the study of specific mathematical knowledge, the cultural value of mathematics (including thinking training and cultural literacy) is more important.
