Examination implementation

1. Examination subjects: Chinese, mathematics, foreign languages (including English, Japanese, Russian, German, French and Spanish), ideology and politics, history, geography, physics, chemistry, biology, technology (including information technology and general technology), sports and health, music and art, among which sports and health, music and art are administered by the municipal education administrative departments.

2. Examination content: Except for foreign languages, other subjects only require compulsory content. According to the national curriculum standards for ordinary senior high schools and the teaching guidance of ordinary senior high schools in Zhejiang Province, the Provincial Education Examinations Institute has formulated the Instructions for the Academic Level Examination of Ordinary Senior High Schools in Zhejiang Province, which specifies the specific scope and requirements of the examinations in various subjects. The scope and requirements of foreign language examination shall be implemented in accordance with the provisions of the examination center of the Ministry of Education. The exam is in written form, and all foreign languages include listening.

3. Examination time: The examination is arranged twice a year, in June and June respectively. From grade 2020 onwards, the academic examinations in Zhejiang Province are arranged in a unified manner according to grades, and the examinations are held at the same time in the same grade. The examination time of Chinese and mathematics is 80 minutes, foreign language 120 minutes, and ideological and political, history, geography, physics, chemistry, biology and technology are 60 minutes each.

4. Application requirements: Ordinary high school students are required to take exams in all subjects, and students from other schools and high school social workers can also sign up for exams in all subjects.

Students are not allowed to take exams in the first semester of senior one, and there are no more than three subjects to take exams in the second semester of senior one. All subjects must be completed before the end of the first semester of senior three. Each subject has one chance, and those who fail can continue to apply for the exam. The first foreign language test is a dual-purpose test, and the results can be used not only to evaluate the academic level, but also for the college entrance examination.

5. Test site setting: The test is arranged at the standardized test site of the college entrance examination. The number of test sites used in the same test at a test site shall generally not be less than 15. Candidates from the same test center should come from different schools, and the test centers are randomly arranged by Zhejiang Education Examinations Institute.
