Introduction to binary system:
Decimal system, that is, carry counting system, is an artificially defined carry counting method (whether there is a carry counting method, such as the original knot counting method, the "positive" word counting method commonly used in singing tickets, and similar counting mark counting method). For any binary -X- system, it means that the number on one bit is calculated every x-system.
Decimal is a decimal one, hexadecimal is a hexadecimal one, binary is a binary one, and so on. The x system is every x carry. Carry system/position counting method is a counting method, so it is also called carry counting method/bit value counting method, which can represent all values with limited digital symbols.
The number of digital symbols that can be used is called radix (en:radix) or radix. If the radix is n, it can be called N-ary, or N-ary for short. Decimal system is most commonly used now, and it is usually counted by 10 Arabic numerals 0-9. For any number, we can use different carry systems to represent it.
For example, the decimal number 57, binary can be expressed as11001,decimal can be expressed as 2 12, octal can be expressed as 7 1, and hexadecimal can be expressed as 39, all of which represent values.
Because of the characteristics of human anatomy, both hands have ten fingers, so the decimal system is the most commonly used in the carry system adopted by human beings spontaneously. The idiom "there are only a handful" describes a simple counting scene in a sense. When primitive humans need to count, the first thing they think of is the index with their hands.
Numerical value itself is a mathematical abstract concept. After a long period of evolution, integration, selection and elimination, the decimal counting method with simple system and comprehensive functions has become the mainstream counting method in human culture. After the training of basic education, most people have mastered the decimal counting method since childhood.
There are ten apples on the plate. By counting apples, we abstract the value of "ten" and store and display it in the form of decimal code "10" in our minds, but not in other forms. From this point of view, decimal coding is almost the value itself.
