What does "or" mean in mathematics?
"or" in mathematics "generally appears in mathematical propositions.

If either of the two conditions holds, this proposition is true.

There is also a proposition of "and" in mathematics, which means that this proposition is true only if two conditions are true, otherwise it is false.

Give an example of "or" proposition for your understanding.

Example: 5 is the divisor of 10 or 17.

The previous proposition 5 is that the divisor of 10 is valid and correct.

The latter proposition 5 is that the divisor of 17 is untenable and wrong.

However, this is an OR proposition. As long as any condition holds, the proposition is true, so this proposition is true.

If 5 is the divisor of 10, the divisor of 17 is replaced by the sum proposition, as above, which is false.
