Zhang Zhidong, a fellow traveler and governor of Guangdong and Guangxi, said in the "Shou Wen" written by Huang Ji's father Huang Shentian on his 81st birthday (when Huang Ji was 58 years old): "In the same year, I was in Lushan Mountain, a wise teacher, and kept the ceremony of filial piety and peace; The author sees that Huang Ji's great-grandson has a calligraphy work inscribed with the word "Ji", which was made by Huang Ji when he was about forty years old.
Seven-word couplet of Huang Ji's running script in China Hakka Museum
● Meng Fanhui
China Hakka Museum has a seven-character couplet of Huang Ji's running script, which was donated by Mr. Huang Jiesheng. The couplet is a red gold notebook, with a length of 1 19 cm and a width of 3 1 cm. Lian Yue:
Hu Longgeng cultivated tobacco and planted Yao grass,
Tell a crane to sleep in Gu Song.
The previous book "Big Brother Shinohara is an Honest Man" was signed with "The Story of Mountains and Mountains", Zhu II, "Yin Ji" and "Guihai Jinshi". Huang Ji called "Xiao Yuan" his eldest brother, and as a member of Huang Ji, his friendship has yet to be tested.
Huang Ji (1830- 1890) was born in the lower corner of Panguifang, Jiayingfu (now Meizhou). Huang Ji, a scholar and eager to learn, was a scholar at the age of 14, a scholar at the age of 20, and a scholar at the age of 33 after two years of tongzhi (1863). Because the imperial examination failed to be named an academician (in Huang Zunxian's words) when it was about to board, he regretted that he had lost nine years, so he was named Shaoshan. After the Jinshi, he was appointed as the director of the etiquette department, and later he was appointed as a river worker in Huaiyang, a cloth donation in Tongzhou and a magistrate in Jiangsu. Although he served as the "fat difference" that people thought, Huang Ji was an honest official and lived a hard life. Zhang Zhidong, a fellow traveler and governor of Guangdong and Guangxi, said in the "Shou Wen" written by Huang Ji's father Huang Shentian on his 81st birthday (when Huang Ji was 58 years old): "In the same year, I was in Lushan Mountain, a wise teacher, and kept the ceremony of filial piety and peace; I am afraid of being known, and I am known for my honesty. " Huang Ji is extremely honest.
Huang Ji is a generalist, familiar with poetry, calligraphy, painting, astronomy, mathematics and so on. Unfortunately, most of his books were eaten by insects, and few books were handed down from generation to generation. Only his nephew Huang Engui (magistrate of a county in peace county) edited and published "Everything is OK, Poetry and Money are in Shandong". Calligraphy works are widely circulated in Meizhou, Guangzhou and other places, with about 50 or 60 pieces, among which the inscription of Dongshan Academy in Meizhou is the most famous. This tablet was written by Huang Ji in the eighth year of Guangxu (1882), when Huang Ji was 53 years old. The original was destroyed in the Cultural Revolution, and the existing plaque was copied from old photos.
Regarding Huang Ji's poems, books and paintings, the Records of Jiaying County in Guangxu contains: "Poetry on Du Gongbu, calligraphy imitating two kings, and Chu Dengshan (Chu Suiliang), paintings go deep into the room of the old (Huang)." There is a sentence in his poem "On Books", which says "Legalism keeps the rules, and Toby Ouyang has its origin", which shows the origin of calligraphy. According to Huang Zunxian's "Uncle Wen of Sacrificing the Family Mountain", there are "keeping hunger, promoting emblems and selling characters" and "official books", which are the most refined. Put up a crane and a ceratosaurus, and Hong Fei Pan Ying. The phrase "one word, three silks and one size of gold" means that Huang Ji's calligraphy has the imposing manner of Zhong You and Wang Xizhi, and also points out Wang Xizhi, the ancestral relative of Huang Ji's calligraphy, and gives a very good evaluation of Huang Ji's calligraphy. The predecessors once said that "the gas in the mountain wins, and the gas in the bay wins", which shows that Huang Ji and Song Xiang are two great calligraphers in Jiaying.
The last sentence of this couplet is "Hu Long cultivates tobacco and plants Yao grass", which is originally from the poem "Singing in the Sky" written by Tang Dynasty. In the poem, there is a sentence of "Prince blowing sheng has a long goose, and Hu Long cultivates tobacco and plants Yao grass". Writing about Long Gengyun and sowing Yao grass shows a sense of leisure.
The second part "Call a Crane to Sleep in Gu Song" and "Call a Crane". Yunlong Mountain in Xuzhou is a famous mountain in northern Jiangsu, with rugged boulders and beautiful forests and valleys. There is a pavilion on the mountain, which says "Call Crane Pavilion". The couplet as a whole presents a relaxed, comfortable and noble state of mind, which is the spiritual portrayal of Huang Jishi's post-peace and indifference to fame and fortune.
Judging from this couplet, its words are fluent and elegant, and its brushwork is continuous and vigorous, which should be the representative work of Huang Ji's calligraphy. Looking at Huang Li's other calligraphy works, when he inscribed "Huang Shanshan Ji" and "Shanshan Ji", the next horizontal line of the word "Ji" was well written, which was far from the previous horizontal line. The author sees that Huang Ji's great-grandson has a calligraphy work inscribed with the word "Ji", which was made by Huang Ji when he was about forty years old. In my opinion, this means that "soil" leaks from the basket of "one" and can't reach the peak, which means "mountain" This couplet is inscribed with the word "Ji", but the performance of the last horizontal line is not obvious, or the mood at this time is calm, and the exuberance and regret of that year are gone. In Zhang Zhidong's "Shou Wen", there are: "That is, the romance of a foolish man, such as the dance of Laozi; Why use a teacher's silk and bamboo as middle-aged pottery to write? The sentence "the salary is happy with you, and the staff is good for you to travel" also illustrates the comfort to Huang Ji.
Huang Ji is quite proud of this couplet and is also loved and recognized by everyone. Not only this painting was presented to Brother Shinohara, but also the work written in this couplet was presented to Brother Qishan, which was handed down from generation to generation and signed as "Shanshan Huang Ji" with two seals.
