What's the difference between graduate students, masters and doctors? How to take the exam specifically?
Postgraduate is a kind of education in higher education, which is divided into master's degree and doctor's degree, and doctor's degree is the highest educational level in higher education.

Master students are divided into full-time master students and part-time master students according to their learning methods.

1. Full-time graduate student

The full-time postgraduate entrance examination is mainly the national postgraduate entrance examination (hereinafter referred to as the "unified examination"). English, ideological and political theory, advanced mathematics and other public subjects are put forward by the whole country, and professional courses are mainly put forward by enrollment units themselves (some majors are put forward by the national entrance examination).

2. Part-time graduate students

Before 20 17, it mainly refers to on-the-job graduate students, and most of them only award degrees, which are not included in the scope of national recognized academic qualifications. On-the-job education has a flexible way of learning, that is, on-the-job learning and recruiting on-the-job personnel. Some majors require work experience and mainly study in their spare time. The examination method is usually conducted on June 5438+ 10 every year, which is called "National Joint Examination for On-the-job Personnel Studying for Master's Degree" or "Joint Examination" for short.

On 20 17, the title of "on-the-job graduate student" was abolished, and the postgraduate entrance examination was unified into a unified examination. In terms of learning methods, they are divided into full-time and part-time ones. Both of them have the same examinations, the same scores and the same training standards, and graduated with both academic qualifications and degree certificates.

Doctoral students are graduate students pursuing doctoral degrees, referred to as doctoral students for short. Strictly speaking, students who have not obtained a doctorate can only be called doctoral students; Only those who get a doctorate are real doctors.

Doctoral enrollment model

The Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC) issued the enrollment scale of doctoral students in each enrollment unit, formulated the national enrollment brochure, and compiled the national doctoral enrollment professional catalogue. Those who have obtained a master's degree, or those who have obtained a bachelor's degree for six years and have reached the equivalent of a master's degree may also apply for the exam.

Graduate students are divided into master students and doctoral students. To take a master's degree, you generally need to take foreign languages, politics, comprehensive subjects (depending on the majors you apply for) and professional courses. And doctoral students don't need to take political exams.

Graduate students can be divided into academic graduate students and professional graduate students. Generally speaking, academic graduate students study for 3 years and professional graduate students study for 2 years.

When a doctoral student graduates, he can get a full-time doctoral diploma and a doctoral degree certificate. Those who study for a doctoral degree on the job with the same academic qualifications can only obtain a degree certificate, and their academic qualifications are still the same, such as undergraduate or master's degree.
